I want you to criticise my 3D head. It's the first one I'm making, any advice appreciated. Proportions are a bitch.
He's supposed to be an asian middle aged man.

I think it narrows in a bit too sharply on the eyes/cheekbones level.
Ears may be a bit far back, move them half their width forwards?
Otherwise good as far as i can tell. Good job.
Can't speak with any authority mind, just a hobbyist sculptor.

The eyesockets seem to be angled a bit forward and not flat if you understand what I mean, the eyes are pointing a bit forward

>>607I kinda get the illusion that the planes of the face are pointing forward. Maybe it is just me that sees it? Like if the tearducts are further forward in space than the corner of the eyes?

>>609Ah, got it. Thanks. I was under the impression that that's how it's supposed to be, but apparently I overdid it.

The eyes are pushed back a bit, bring them forward.
Bring the ears as well
If it's still not working, start again.

I do subdivisional modelling of faces all day at work and I can tell you two things. One, your points are messy as hell, go to lowest subdiv and clean that lumpy shit up nigger. Two, That's one dopey ass face, take some time in Zbrush to learn how to make planar faces. You're overwhelming yourself with Photo and Anatomical reference. You haven't developed the more fundamental forms of the face. Anatomy4sculptors has great reference in the "block-out" sections under the "heads" tab. Once you learn how to block out with simple shapes you wont have these big blatant mistakes cluttering your model, such as how far back the ears are how far forward the eyes are, the lack of volume in the brow, No bags under the eyes, no boney landmarks whatsoever, mangled ears that look like their cartilage disappeared, etc...
It's good that you're looking for advice, but you need to go back to more fundamental information.
(side note: you'll never learn anything from rotoscoping pictures. It RUINS your models ALWAYS. Anyone who tells you to rotoscope faces definitely doesn't have a noteworthy job. You will not be able to account for different camera focal lengths, especially not in ortho and they cant give you any information zdepth in the face.)
GL man.

His fae does look asian, but his crane doesn't.
People have different head shapes according to their race.
Sorry I couldn't find better references.
