/pol/ was uninterested in my little street reverend thread but I think it is worth taking a look at the subversion tactics of the Church of the Sub-Genius.

This is an excellently put together "indoctrination" film ostensibly for the worship of the "Bob" figure, but eventually states that "Bob"'s goal is to remind people that "He is not the answer and neither is anything else".

Real talk, OOC, right now so maybe we can get something going and see some bigger ripples soon.

Discordians and Sub-Genii are diffenent brands of a similar product.

This is still a "living" meme so to speak (an artifact of the 1960's);

A Sub-Genius radio show (now a podcast) has been going for decades now and still is.

The amount of unique content listeners submit for air play is incredible and I really think it's beautiful in its way (clearly not everyones bowl of frop though).

Interesting side note, the man who voiced "The G-Man" of the Half- Life series is on the broadcasts regularly, and the off-kilter, cryptic way he spoke in those games is everpresent still.

Side note I, and for all I know this could already be part of the reference/memetic value, but I watched S2 if Black Mirror this week, and there is an episode called "WhiteBear".

I had only seen Spurdolano for the first time the previous day. Take a look if you havent seen it. BM is catching on outside the UK thx to netflix and this could help amplify Spurdolano's memetic saturation if someone has plans for him.

You're thinking too small: solving memetics means finding a universalized strategies for finding strategies. It adapts to adaptation.

Saying that you've solved memetics is like saying that you've solved evolution - you may well have a fitting broad theory, but the knowledge of the ocerarching theory does not give you knowledge of how adaptation will occur or even could occur in a given system

At best you can make memetics into a science like economics and your theories can become more refined, but when you're dealing with a living system that adapts to adaptations you will never be able to rest on any static strategy - the only static things will be necessary truths too broad to be useful

Nonsense. What you are promoting is nothing less than complete epistemic relativism. You're still equating memetic engineering with "how to sell ideas" which is more nonsense.

Virtually everyone on the planet believes that 2+2=4. The "market" doesn't adapt to make people believe otherwise, because the selection criterion for "2+2=4" is too strong. To deny it would require something like throwing out the entirety of mathematics.

Again, modern memetic engineering isn't about subverting the selection processes of people, but augmenting them to such a degree that they will always select against X memeplex because it is in their best interest to do so.

I'm posting here on a lark, what I'm saying doesn't matter, and whether or not I am "believed" doesn't matter. You'll see in a few years as the antidotes work their way through culture and evolve into ever more powerful forms. When there's confusion about how everything is suddenly so wonderful, then comes the time for the reveal.

The future is looking awesome. The greatest problem in human history has been solved. The memetic singularity cometh. Superhuman machines weren't necessary when you have billions of human brains networked.
