/boards/ is for finding/advertising boards.
Use the stickies to leave a "permanent" link to a board, but don't post duplicates in the stickies. You can also make a new thread for advertising a board. If you know of a cool board that isn't here, feel free to post it even if you didn't create it. Rules

Also check out the dynamic boards list.

>What is the UBF?

The UBF is a loose confederation of boards centred around the concept of freedom from moderation.

>What is the purpose of the UBF?

The purpose of the UBF is two-fold. 1. To encourage posting on a UBF member board instead of their larger, no-fun-allowed counterpart for example posting on /vvv/ or /am/ instead of /v/ or /a/, and 2. to encourage the posting of related content between boards to encourage user interaction, increasing the number of UIDs and posts per hour on boards posting a 2nd Amendment thread on both /liberty/ and on /k/

>Who is in the UBF

The current members of the UBF are as follows
>>>/liberty/
>>>/int/
>>>/vvv/
>>>/am/
>>>/k/

LAND OF THE FREE.

I'm surprised to see /k/ on the list and not /co/ or /sp/

 No.7055

/k/ mods get butthurt and ban whenever /sp/ steals any of their GETs, how did they end up there but not /sp/?

 No.7056

Why is /leftypol/ not on the list?

 No.7057

/k/ has interests very similar to /liberty/ and it was a natural alliance. I have not yet posted on /sp/ or /co/ yet but thank you fof the suggestion

/leftypol/, just like /pol/, has rules outside of rule 1

We don't even have rules on >>/loomis/ yet anyway

Can we join? The freedom revolution is going to need artists, even if they haven't getted gud yet.

While I'd intended my board to be funpost and free-speech friendly from the beginning, I feel I should have the right to defend my board from spammers, flooders, and other outside threats within reason. I am more of a paleoconservative than an anarchist or libertarian, truth be told!

However, I'll gladly join if my board's right to self-determination and defense is respected.

>one of the worst rulefag boards ever conceived
>when shilling the board you fuckers literally argued that banning opposition opinions was exactly the same as allowing people to call each other "shill" and "kike"
If /leftypol/ was allowed in, every single board on 8ch would belong.

Don't buy into it. They're a bunch of faggots who shitpost in existing boards and shill theirs everywhere they go. They want to turn every board into /b/ where the only thing banned is cp and other illegal content. They've been raiding /feedbackv/ to the point every thread has a redirect to /vvv/ and they actually had to word filter it on /v/ since it got so bad. The board owners do nothing but pick fights with people and antagonize people on other board's decreasing their quality while redirecting people who are up in arms over what is most of the time THEIR shitposting to the respective replacement board, /int/ is just a bad knockoff of /b/ anyway.

I am the board owner of /ubf/ and have never even heard of /feedbackv/, I thought the board was /vmeta/ or something along those lines. I cannot control the users of my boards, and wouldn't want to even if I could.

>They want to turn every board into /b/ where the only thing banned is cp and other illegal content

Where have I heard this before?

Oh right, it's the reason most people from halfchan don't want to come to 8ch, because we left based on their shit moderation.

Rulefags can capture some boards, but they'll never subvert the entire site. All you can do is push retarded conspiracy theories.

I find this myth of "/ubf/ boards are shitposting to divide users and drive traffic to their own boards" absurd. Anyone who spouts it is either a blatant liar or a gullible idiot. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Why would a board devoted to loose moderation advertise by spamming and driving down the quality of traditional boards? The selling point of the /ubf/ has nothing to do with getting away from "low post quality". Nobody shills /am/ as the place to hide from plebs, or /vvv/ as the place to hide from shills. Blatantly shitposting on /a/ and /v/ makes people want to see the blatant shitposts removed, and it makes people want more moderation. When everything's a pile of shit, that's when you advertise your strict moderation that keeps things "on topic" and "high quality".

If you ban people, or remove their posts, don't be surprised when they go to a less strict board. Such common human reaction is not an undercover plot.

/ubf/ boards are still free to remove spam, the main enemy is mods trying to determine "quality".

Just letting you know there's a migration due to

>>>/intl/

which is a global board with clearly defined rules (global rules), made as a compromise as soma increased moderation on the original board.

It's pretty neat with tons of OC so far. Hope we can be friends!!!11!!!! !:D:DDD

/sp/ and /co/ were the last two targets for some cunt who spammed when someone said something mean to him, tried to rile people into a raid or exodus, and when the spam was deleted he cried hotpockets. The attempt on /co/ was pretty half-assed though, and got cut down after maybe 12 SU threads had been made in a row.
