I'm not opposed to the Union, I just think the British crown lost their claim to govern Ireland when jolly ol' Henry broke with the Vatican, who are the ones who granted lordship to England in the first place. Not to mention that the person who did that was the only English Pope in history.

Just to make my position clear, I'd support Irish membership in the Commonwealth, even if they don't have Her Majesty as their head of state. I'm completely against extremist groups like the IRA and the UDF, and completely respect the British government's decision to allow the Northern Irish to have self-determination. The Irish Tricolor stands for peace between green and orange.

Irish-Amerifag here, seeing as how the UK is one of the last remaining Christian nations without seperation of church and state, what do you think about the Anglican Church ever possibly returning to communion with the Catholics?

The way I see it, one of the biggest problems for the juvenile Empire was the floodgates that Henry VIII had inched open. The hyper-puritans came to America, and the Irish Catholics were alienated as well, not to mention wars with other Catholic powers. The Vatican has already set up the ordinariate system to allow self-governing congregations to rejoin.

Does this fly entirely in the face of /britannia/'s dreams of a dominant British people?

For the record I love the Brits and don't think that my ancestors should have revolted against you :)

No. Not even close.

You know what, I'd love to be king, and I even have some lineage from the Stuart and Bruce (UK) royal lines. If I were King I'd implement the democratic system I've described but retain the right to intervene when and where I deem necessary. Would you support me for King? I am not the smartest person out there, nor the healthiest, and certainly not the luckiest. Ultimately even a King needs the consent of the governed, at least to the extent that people do not revolt. How does a would be King secure this consent? Religion.

Today the rulers of this world rule through the illusions of money and democracy. Money can be created, and with it democracy manipulated… yet people believe in these illusions now more than the strength of bloodlines, or greater causes.

To be King I would have to:

1) Develop a systematized 'religion,' to be the new system, the greater purpose in life, and convert people to it. My greater purpose is Beauty. But this is just a value, and not enough for people to rally around.

2)Vanquish my enemies (undermine the current system)

3)Provide appropriate rewards to my supporters

4)Defend my right to lead

5)Sire and raise able heirs who share my vision, and place them in administrative positions after sufficient experience.

All countries in the Anglo-Sphere have high levels of immigration. Canada, Australia and the UK are each at least 10% Asian, with the first two being more East-Asian and the UK being more South-Asian.

Will this undermine our glorious continuity with each other. Theoretically, as these groups become assimilated: they too can join in as fellow English-speakers, even Anglos.

However will this happen? Or will Canada and Australia look more and more Chinese while Britain will look more and more Indian? Separating us.

Will international migration destroy our global unity?

Some have argued the opposite, a point of view that I find interesting. Many scholars have noticed a growing homogenisation of the English-speaking people. Britain has become more and more American but so too has America become more British.

So I skimmed through the constitution google-doc, might I suggest instead of universal basic income, an initiative toward a revitalization of rural living, specifically in the Canadian prairies. Agriculture being an imperative of any flourishing nation/empire, while decreasing dependency on foreign staples and invigorating an otherwise currently bourgeois-centered economy into a more traditional orientation.
