So, I haven't worn jeans since November 2008 (junior year high school). Reason:

>looked around
>every single person in the 31 student class is wearing them
>male and female, tight and baggy, from that nerdy variety to acid-washed
>realize some of these people where jeans every single day
Somehow this article of clothing, trousers crafted from denim, has managed to become the literal avatar of consumerist conformity. It has enough varieties to invade every subculture's unique style, and is even breaking the boundaries between the different levels of formality in its sickening epidemic.
However, I will wear a denim jacket during the autumn and the spring, due to its far smaller presence.
