How do I keep my hair from smelling without showering in the morning?

Every single day my hair smells like it's really greasy and gross, even though it almost never is. I shower everyday, but because of my school/work schedule I can only shower at night (usually 8-9PM). I've tried washing my sheets and pillowcases constantly but it never helps. I still wake up and have stankass hair. It's not really offensive unless you actually go up to my hair and take a whiff, but I hate knowing that my hair consistently smells like I just got out of the gym. Can anyone help out here? I don't have acne or really greasy skin so I don't think the clean towel thing would work.

If it's of any help, I shampoo with Paul Mitchell Awapuhi, no conditioner or soap. Lather and massage the scalp thoroughly before rinsing, and I don't use product. Pic is my hair, to show length and thinness.

Maybe wake up 15 minutes earlier in the morning so you can shower? Is it really that hard?

honestly, yes. I stay up late at night doing homework and get ~5 hours of sleep a night, so I can't sacrafice what little sleep I get for the sake of not being just barely smelly in the hair region. Add the fact that I work in the school's cafeteria 3 days a week (shit gets gross af) and that the average temperature in the morning this month has hovered somewhere between 0 and 15 F, and early showers get thrown out. My hair's also way too thin to shower twice a day (after work) without getting destroyed.

I've used that stuff before during power outages, but that was an act of desperation because we didn't have running water for 2 weeks straight. It didn't work very well at all. Is it more effective under normal circumstances like this?

It seems that hair is the least of your problems, i would start by sleepig at least 8 hours.

Are you washing your hair everyday? Is this still a problem after almost 6 months? Don't wash it everyday.
