Brendon Condon Centrophenoxine has skin healing and anti aging effects. I've read about it and witnessed it with my own body.

Samuel Dennis I know little about hair loss but here are some leads.

These several pages implicate a great many foods as exerting anti-alopecia properties, although do not state by which mechanism of action
http://www.google.com/cse

One of the only ways (or possibly the only chemical, non-food-related way) of alleviating alopecia is lowering DHT by inhibiting 5-alpha reductase enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. However DHT is the body's most powerful androgen, 3-10 times stronger than testosterone and with very similar effects.

This looks good for hair loss but works by inhibiting DHT:
https://www.caymanchem.com/.../Product.vm/catalog/14938

Look for anything effective amongst these:
http://www.pharmacygeoff-uk.md/Hair-Loss/

You could try a DHT-inhibitor (they also reduce BPH and promote general prostate health) like saw palmetto, but that's a cost:benefit analysis for you to judge upon depending on any (subtle) subsequent symptoms of low DHT or in extreme cases even hypogonadism. That depends on your personal androgen profile, and you would likely notice hypogonadism/low T prior to use of a DHT inhibitor. Be wary that prescribed ranges of hypogonadism are too low, as well as unreliable since test fluctuates with an absolute plethora of environmental factors. Less than about 300ng/dl of free test and you won't feel good/normal day-to-day.

Samuel Dennis I remember reading an unsubstantiated claim that tocepherols can be taken to mitigate hair loss, with no need to inhibit or avoid increasing DHT. Couldn't find in internet history, but at least I remembered the tocepherols.

About the curcumin mentioned, take with black pepper for greater absorption. Take the link with a pinch of salt too, if you'll excuse the pun

Emahn Novid You're probably going to go bald dude…just accept it. There are so many people who are filthy rich yet still go bald because there is literally no treatment for it that money can buy. Any solution you hear about is most likely a scam or half ass solution.

John Simons Emahn, that's bullshit. It's a wonderful time to have hairgrowith problems. More options than ever and a high succes rate of recovering at least some growth

PART 3/3

Khuram Bhatti Finesteride is known to regrow hair, side effects rare but serious. Proscar propecia etc.
September 25 at 1:22am · Like · 2 · Reply

Emahn Novid The only thing I know to work are certain perscriotion drugs ONLY given to people with alarmingly fast hairloss. And they can't even grow the hair back. All they do is slow/stop it temporarily. The downside is that you have explosive uncontrollable diarrhea at all times and terrible hot flashes among other things. Most people stop taking it due to the side effects.

Barbara Belle Finasteride will most likely only slow the hair loss progress, if it works. In some cases it can regrow some hair, though. But that's not usual, unfortunately.

Trilliam Trillzur Bruh just shave your head and align your widows peak you'll look fine unless you're balding from the back then just bite the bullet and shave it all and wax your head

Matt Boh You can regrow hair. Google around about DMSO and what you can add to it, read through this thread: http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm…

Chad Wyatt I'm thinking more in terms of prevention, at the moment. Also, do we inherit our balding genes off mother, father or both?

Trilliam Trillzur So how does one apply the DMSO - I will use myself as a guinea pig to regrow my receding hairline
September 25 at 5:39am · Edited · Like · 2 · Reply

Reiny Randle Its not all about DHT. Inositol is one of the best supps for hair as is PABA. Gingko and gotu kola also.
I personally found that 6 months of horsetail herb has really thickened my hair.
You need really to take a small hair stack. DHT inhibitors should be added for good measure especially saw palmetto, fenugreek and green tea
September 25 at 8:54am · Edited · Like · 1 · Reply

Chris Rudd a lot of it is diet, high insulin levels through the day will hurt your hair health. there's largely nothing you can do if you dont respond to minoxidil, I've seen too many people have lasting bad effects from propecia, and things like saw palmetto are just slight androgen inhibitors, if your hair loss isnt androgenic alopecia then there's nearly nothing to do.

Chad Wyatt I think I can summarise from the original post that there are no nootropics that also slow/prevent hair loss.

Reiny Randle Except inositol and possibly gingko

Giacomo Iavarone even if you take a shit ton of inositol and ginkgo you're still gonna lose your hair… a supplement is not gonna stop that. Not even finasteride stops hair loss in 40-60% of cases and it causes a lot of side effects too
September 25 at 8:05pm · Edited · Like · 1 · Reply

Trilliam Trillzur So how about the DMSO
September 25 at 8:07pm · Like · Reply

Giacomo Iavarone i don't know, how it's supposed to stop the hair loss? It would make more sense to mix DMSO with a DHT blocking substance like saw palmetto or fenugreek
September 25 at 8:10pm · Like · Reply

Trilliam Trillzur The dude in the post above used some acupuncture with some magnetic things of some sort and DMSO
