I am going to be contrarian to everyone else that replied to you.
We do push new users away, or as we call them newfags, its part of our culture, and we have a good fucking reason for it too, we value quality over quantity, unlike leddit. Now lets address chan culture which some ledditfags will have you believe is a myth (then they spout "muh sekrit klub" at you) it does in fact exist. Its a culture where we rather have no users then low quality trash, where you are told to lurk and learn our culture, you as a single person are valueless, no one cares about you, you are only of value if you are contributing quality content, the culture does not care for you, it has existed long before you got here and it will exist long after you leave. You as a person are useless, your identity(/gender/age/race etc), your hobbies everything about you is valueless here.
Your posts are valued solely based on their merit; not imaginary internet points that would be"le upboats" to you my good sir tips fedora, not the previous posts you have made which are publicly visible on your post history that people can form an opinion of you based on, and not any other factor that I did not mention that plays an active role in how leddit culture and interactions works.

Unlike what your faggot ass has probably heard at over at leddit, the rhetoric "that chans are terrible for discussion and it's all shitposting you have to sort through an ocean of piss and a beach of shit to find something good", its actually quite the opposite, voted based communities force people to conform to ideas that are popular in order to retain a reputation/an image, no one can actually speak their mind while feeling confident in what they have to say as one incorrect statement/idea can permanently ruin you. Another fun rhetoric you get on leddit is that anonymous posters are somehow cowards and that they are afraid of personal accountability, this is not really related but its pretty funny based on the very small amount of information I have on the history of leddit where people's identity is rarely ever noteworthy but incredibly common to be used as weapon against people to pretty much ruin their lives because they disagree with them, blackmail them or another similar such attack this rhetoric is commonly countered with the famous quote/aphorism/axiom/platitude/proverb/what have you “Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.” Which is credited to Oscar Wilde which is flawlessly exhibited in leddit like sites and collectives and pretty much depreciates the value of the existence of a community such as leddit to exist exist at all.
I don't want you here, nobody wants you or your merry band of faggots here, its quite obvious that you all are very opposed to assimilating into chan culture, are trying to get our site admins/developers to develop otherwise useless features features specifically for you and are all very ungrateful about just about everything regarding this entire situation, regardless of the fact that you have this place to even use, but apparently this is just a temporary solution; and that's very good, we don't need more cancer.
