Hello MGTOWs,
I am currently experiencing some issues with consuming media after beeing redpilled. It is nearly impossible for me to enjoy multimedia anymore.
Whenever I play a video game or watch anime or a movie I often detect the gynocentrism and shaming tactics that are used in it and feel disgusted.
Do you experience the same problems? What are some good MGTOW-approved movies, anime and video games?
d55185 No.120
Hey fellow MGTOW, I know that feel.
The solution which I found is two fold.
1.) Look for extremely "macho" - I don't know if this is the correct word for it - media. I use Grand Theft Auto III as an example.
>your gf fucks you over
>the game is about searching for your ex gf and avenging her
>at the end of the game for a moment they make the player believe that the main character will form a love interest with the whorish lover of Salvatore Leone but instead he shoots that bitch
Action movies from the '80s are also a good medium.
2.) If you watch other media with a ton of gynocracy, then treat it as fantasy/science-fiction.
Like:
"ok, in the world which this media portrays, being nice to women actually work, because they're not psycho skanks."
I can even enjoy romantic comedies if I apply this adjustment of thought.
But there's a high risk that you'll allow this thinking to overcarry in to your IRL situations. So be careful.

>Do you experience the same problems? What are some good MGTOW-approved movies, anime and video games?Movies starring Toshiro Mifune are usually pretty good.
Movies directed by Fukasaku Kinji are usually depressing but very manly.
As for anime, I'm trying to cut down. Too much damn harem stuff.
Video games are better than fiction because they're all about shooting stuff and killing stuff and not so much about sentimental romance.

I can barely read newspapers, they just appear to be sheer propaganda.

>>142Hello and thank you for your advice. Old Japanese movies were really manly I watched some trailers. I recently found some other intresting stuff and it's also from asia (HongKong, not Japan).
I am talking about John Woo and Johnny To (his successor) movies. It's usually about Chinese gangsters (triad members) who are blasting other fellas for one of the following reasons:
- money
- revenge
- honour
The movies are:
- A better tomorrow (this movie started the whole triad genre back in 1986)
- The Killer (is about a woman but not directly gynocentric)
- Bullet in the head (about money and loyalty)
- Election
- Exiled
These movies are fantastic. John Woo became famous for his gunfight choreography in these action movies. You need to see it. It's incredible. Johnny To then refined the genre in the early 2000s after John Woo went to Hollywood in the 90s. Don't watch anything Woo made in Hollywood. Everything is shit. His last good movie was Bullet in the head from 1992.

>>146Late '80s and early '90s were truly one of the most manly times of cinema and television around the world.
One time I streamed The Killer to some wizardchan guys. It was fun ;_;.
I hope the Hong Kongers will secede from China or something. It would also be nice to learn Cantonese. I used to think that learning such a relatively 'small' language was a waste of time. But with MGTOW I realized that if it makes me happy/content/accomplished, it's good for me. So after Nipponese I might give it a try.

Personally, I prefer books to anything else. And I also collect old British comics and story papers, currently reading a story set in a boarding school from 1903. Finished one long serial and currently well into the second one (maybe 30 parts in to the overall story, each part about 10-15,000 words long). So far there has been only one female character, who was in it for only "minutes", story-time wise.
The USA had similar publications, though it got 'quality' ones a bit earlier (1880's as opposed to 1900's, though both countries were awash with nonsensical trash from the 1830's). Give them a go!

Try watching The Hill, it's on youtube. It's an old english film from 1965 with Sean Connery, and is about wartime military personnel that have been court martial'd and sent to prison. It's got a lot to say about the necessity/failure of the system.
Embedded, but I don't think you want to watch a 2 hour movie here.

I know I couldn't stand watching anything on TV for some time. I stopped going to the movies and buying DVDs. Now I just have Netflix, Prime and the internet. There are about 10-15 TV series that I simply stopped watching over the years. The minute they pull out some gyno-trope I turn it off.
Take James Spader's series 'Blacklist' as an example:
It looked promising (even though it's a female lead, I like James Spader), but I only made it to episode 7. A woman cucked her husband, never telling him the kid wasn't his. She told the main character that she kept it a secret "for the best interest of the family". I thought to myself, "Naw cunt, you kept it a secret because of self interest". If there had been any recrimination again the woman I might have kept watching, but the main character accepted the woman's horseshit justification without blinking.
Or Arrow:
I gave up in Season 2 when the whole thing turned in a amalgamation of SJC/feminist bullshit. I loved season one, and I think I made it to episode 5 in season 2 hoping that the first few episodes were a fluke and that it would get back to ass kickery and putting arrows into bad guy faces. But it went thoroughly hugbox, and showed no signs of going back and I hear season 3 is worse.
Yeah it's pretty normal to see it everywhere once your eyes have been opened, because it is everywhere. Eventually I was able to set most bullshit elements aside, quarantine them mentally so to speak, and otherwise enjoy whatever I was watching, but it's challenging and doesn't always work.

I pretty much cut down my interaction with multimedia to nothing. Hardly watch any movies, shows, or listen to music.
I stay on the internet mostly and read books.

Stop being a culture junkie. I can not emphasize enough how unhealthy for your mind and soul it is.
Instead of absorbing media like it's date night at the movies. (let's be honest, most media is made for bored people in a boring relationship to be bored together with) Instead, separate "art" from "entertainment". Art should be profound, have meaning, challenge you in some way, or reflect something accurately. Art should be meaningful. Entertainment is vapid. It's for the bored people that need to kill an evening.
Now that you've realized 90% of media is vapid entertainment for bored people you should be able to identify and avoid it in the future.
As for a MGTOW related recommendation, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe.
>A bitter aging couple with the help of alcohol, use a young couple to fuel anguish and emotional pain towards each other.
Ah, perfect representation of a modern relationship. And since it's booze themed it's fun to drink along with the characters. (if that's your bag)

Well for me media is a form of inspiration. I see people like Tyler Durden or Bruce Lee and then say, wow this fella is awesome, maybe I should be more like him in this aspect.
This is why we need a list of mgtow-approved media for self-improvement/perfection and spiritual insiration

>>600No doubt these are the least offensive (unless completely vagina-neutral titles like weird Tetris clones nobody plays count as games anymore).
>ClancyThat sounds pretty gynocentric. Her body is the focal point, the most important thing (this is how you are brought to care, presumably, about the story).
It's very slave-oriented. You play a slave saving the world for your possessor.
Remember, when the woman is the bookend, the validator, the cause, the whole thing is the story of your vagina slavery.
She, of course, can't be bothered with details, and is simply by having a body worth of everything you give her.
>"Women never fail to underestimate men"Says the slave to his master, oh please please validate me, accept me, confer upon me value!
>TNGWell, the computer's voice is a woman. Also, needs, plights, cries are delivered by females. Many episodes center around a guy obsessed with a woman.
I'm no film/TV/gaming buff, so hopefully what I said was accurate and reasonable.

>>679The story of Future Soldier has little to do with cunts. The mission that introduces stealth kills has a cunt getting her ass beat by a nigger. She's a nameless black cunt.
In that same mission or the mission after it your protag shows empathy for a man getting killed by 3 civilians. The man is also nameless.
>Deus ExThe main story involves a cunt fucking over the protag. At the end of the game she isn't even remotely acknowledged in the ending speech by the protag meaning he likely ditched her ass. She used him to advance her career.
The woman who says the line tries manipulating him with her feminine charms. He never falls for it. He only avoids killing her if it isn't necessary which at the time it wasn't. Later you kill her after she tries to use a computer to get more power (which she ends up used by the computer instead).
>TNGThe computer also has a male voice in one episode. It involved the ship self-destructing so perhaps the ship uses the male voice when shit gets serious. Either way, it's a computer, not a woman.
Many episodes also show female nature (the episode about a female dominated society is gold).
