Well the age is upon us already, the technology for virtual sex is already here. So this is a change that's likely going to be happening within the next 5 years or so. It will start in japan of course, infact it already has, and they already have working demos. Virtual sex is the easy part, an interactive AI that you can interact and spend time with, now that will take some time to develop. With the way sex is already shamed in our culture due to religion, it will take time to become socially acceptable here in the west. People will shame it and look down upon it at first. But there well plenty of men out there willing to give it a try despite that. Porn is shamed, yet it is a very healthy business. It's more of a we all do it, but we want to pretend that we don't.

Well all technology has to start somewhere, And VR will only improve in the years to come, and someday it may be "perfect". As to how all that will change society, I guess we will find out.
If we want a glimpse on the effect it might have on society, again we can look to Japan. The herbivore men, the otaku and their waifus, just men in general opting out of relationships and wage slaving for women. And there's enough people doing to have effects on their society, and their birth rates. So virtual sex technology becoming available there will be interesting to watch, how it affects their society. And if the technology is a good enough replacement for real women, it will catch on with lots of people.
Humans will always take the past of least resistance. If they can buy a program that emulates their perfect woman, instead of going out and dealing with western women driven by greed and materialism, they will easily take that option.

The neat thing about tech is it makes everything exponentially easier over time.

In the 1970's Pac Man was a major undertaking. It took a team of ten guys a year to make. Now a single inexperienced coder can make Pac Man in 6 hours. Its not that we are all that much better at programming, its just there is so much more infrastructure in place to use. You dont have to build the computer from scratch, you can download collision and rendering libraries, etc.

The same thing is true of sexbots.
Today it could be done for like 200 billion dollars and a team of tens of thousands of guys.
In 10 years it could be created for 1 billion dollars and dozens of guys.
In 20 years a single determined guy can make one in his basement for a few grand.
In 30 years any shithead coder worth half his salt could do it in a few hours for free.

Sooner or later the laws become unenforceable.

All gender relation problems stem from the fact that the sexes are human and humans must interact with each other to get sex. Humans have a nasty habit of trying to one up the other, of negotiating in bad faith, in suspicion that the other is trying to take advantage, etc, etc,

A machine lover would have none of that. It would (ideally) be program to obey and serve, its only joy is pleasing you, its only pain is failing to please you. A human lover will always have other desires, selfish desires.
