When did you decide on this?

All my childhood and teenage years I never felt quite like how I thought a boy ought to feel. The way boys behaved, acted, were portrayed to have felt in films, books, and television shows never resonated with me.

When I went to university at 18 and began to explore the internet and open my mind, I was enlightened to find out that I was not the only person who felt this way about their gender. After some consideration and soul searching, about a year later I finally realised that I had been living a lie. Not only that, I was helped so much and inspired by the true plights of people like me to change my lifestyle and my identity, and to finally live life as the person I was, a Provolone Grilled-Cheese Sandwich.

Tell us your views about gender - do you consider it to be binary? To function on a spectrum? Do you think it is innate or socially constructed?

In my experience, my gender has been innate. Although I was raised a boy my whole life until my realisation, once I finally accepted that I was a Provolone Grilled-Cheese Sandwich born into the body of a male, my whole life finally seemed to make sense. It had been that way all along, since birth.

Do you think your views on gender differ from the views on gender held by your parents and grandparents, or people of other generations? Tell us how they are similar or different

Absolutely they are different. My family and parents did not take the change well and we are still not talking. I believe though, that in time, and as society grows more accepting to the reality of gender in modern society, they will come to accept and love me for who I am, and really, have always been. That I am a Provolone Grilled-Cheese Sandwich.

As I first set eyes upon the scene from the movie RAMBO 3 where the Afghan village gets brutally ravaged by Soviet attack helicopters, my young heart recognized the beauty and magnificence that is The Attack Helicopter. I later learned that it was not actually a real Soviet helicopter but a crude and shameless replication, an American machine painted to look like a true attack helicopter but my passion was sparked none the less.

It was not the exact moment I decided upon my new gender for I lived on for many years, carrying the title of "boy" that society forced upon my at the moment of my birth.
