>inb4 frozen is not a cinematic masterpiece
frozen actually has a lot of deep meaning about growing up and the conflicting nature and responsibility and joy and ultimately brings them to balance in a very original way.
American beauty. The movie is like some masterpiece of one man, the dream of a man who worked his whole life on that script, and it really shows while not being an exceptional movie at all.
A clockwork orange if you're too lazy to read the movie is also a piece of art. Very original, very pleasing to watch, has deep implications, has a great style and theme.

Kagemusha is one of my favorite films of all time. Though its very slow and drawn out in a number of places, so I can see why it's not Kurosawa's most popular film (at least in the west; its reception was better in Japan).
It was actually one of the movies that convinced me to become the reactionary I am today. It's a very particularist film. The thief who has no clan plays the role of Takeda Shingen so long that he begins to see the Takeda clan as his own, and think of himself as its lord.
Unfortunately, he isn't Takeda Shingen. The outside pretender can't equal the real thing. But he has such a love of the clan, that he's willing to follow them to their demise. That last scene where he charges at Oda's gunmen by himself, gets riddle full of bullets, and dies trying to grasp the Takeda flag as it floats by him, forever out of reach, is one of the most powerful and memorable moments in all of cinema.

Souless weightless CGI feminist empowerment fantasy BS. Elsa sings "let it go" as she freezes the entire kingdom. The song has such kosher lyrics as "no right no wrong no rules for me I'm free".

They dont make films like this any more because films like this demand a bit of intelligence from the audience and dont pander to the lowest common denominator like they do today.

Master & Commander.
I get a real boner for historical stuff, especially when it is done well. Made in 2003 but I doubt we'll get a sequel as today, just 12 years later, it would be considered 'problematic' by the usual cunts due to its positive portrayal of the British Empire, masculinity and a time of white dominance. The fact that the whole cast is 100% white men would undoubtably trigger the sjw brigade round the horn and back. Never mind that it is a fucking good film. Buffalo '66 is easily one of the greatest independent films ever made and Vincent Gallo is redpilled as fuck. Everybody should check it out.
Here he is talking about his movie with critics:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP-03bF1MvQ
He calls out a female critic for having "hang ups as a woman" that are preventing her from enjoying the love story he created. He goes on to call out progressive, leftist politics behind such acts as the rampant promotion of films with homosexuality as a theme at festivals like Sundance. He calls Tim Robbins' movie "Dead Man Walking" a "communist movie".
Every feminist I've ever known to watch this movie has hated it because of the portrayal of the female love interest in conjunction with Vincent Gallo's semi-autobiographical character. It's beautifully shot, too.
He had an ad on his website selling his sperm for one million dollars, here are some excerpts:
>Mr. Gallo maintains the right to refuse sale of his sperm to those of extremely dark complexions. Though a fan of Franco Harris, Derek Jeter, Lenny Kravitz and Lena Horne, Mr. Gallo does not want to be part of that type of integration.
>In fact, for the next 30 days, he is offering a $50,000 discount to any potential female purchaser who can prove she has naturally blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone who can prove a direct family link to any of the German soldiers of the mid-century will also receive this discount.
>Under the laws of the Jewish faith, a Jewish mother would qualify a baby to be deemed a member of the Jewish religion. This would be added incentive for Mr. Gallo to sell his sperm to a Jew mother, his reasoning being with the slim chance that his child moved into the profession of motion picture acting or became a musical performer, this connection to the Jewish faith would guarantee his offspring a better chance at good reviews and maybe even a prize at the Sundance Film Festival or an Oscar.

A clip from Syberberg's Parsifal:
421dba No.4900205
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans-J%C3%BCrgen_Syberberg#Controversy
Syberberg's work has attracted criticism at least since the publication of the film script of Hitler: A Film from Germany, particularly from the Left, who were amongst many targets of his criticism in that book. In later essays, although he never presented himself as a conservative or sympathizer with German nationalism, his comments began to scandalize a broad spectrum of writers and critics in Germany and elsewhere.[citation needed] Even Susan Sontag, who had written the introduction to the English translation of the book version of Hitler: A Film from Germany, was reportedly shocked by some of his later statements, though she claimed that her feelings about his films were unaffected.[1]
In one notorious example Syberberg wrote in Vom Unglück und Glück der Kunst in Deutschland nach dem letzten Kriege (On the Misfortune and Fortune of Art in Germany after the Last War, 1990):
"Whoever joined the Jews and the leftists was successful, and it did not necessarily have anything to do with love, or understanding, or even inclination. How could Jews tolerate that, being that these others only wanted power."[2]
Ian Buruma, in the New York Review of Books, quotes several of Syberberg's controversial statements. Syberberg described modern German art as "filthy and sick… in praise of cowardice and treason, of criminals, whores, of hate, ugliness, of lies and crimes and all that is unnatural." He also wrote that:
"The Jewish interpretation of the world followed upon the Christian, just as the Christian one followed Roman and Greek culture. So now Jewish analyses, images, definitions of art, science, sociology, literature, politics, the information media, dominate. Marx and Freud are the pillars that mark the road from East to West. Neither are imaginable without Jewishness. Their systems are defined by it. The axis USA-Israel guarantees the parameters. That is the way people think now, the way they feel, act and disseminate information. We live in the Jewish epoch of European cultural history. And we can only wait, at the pinnacle of our technological power, for our last judgment at the edge of the apocalypse…. So that's the way it looks, for all of us, suffocating in unprecedented technological prosperity, without spirit, without meaning… Those who want to have good careers go along with Jews and leftists [and] the race of superior men [Rasse der Herrenmenschen] has been seduced, the land of poets and thinkers has become the fat booty of corruption, of business, of lazy comfort."
Buruma writes:
"It is not for his aesthetics, however, that Syberberg has been attacked, but for his politics. The strongest criticism of his book was published in Der Spiegel, the liberal weekly magazine. Syberberg's views, wrote the critic, were precisely those that led to the book burning in 1933, and prepared the way for the Final Solution of 1942. In fact, he went on, they are worse, for "now we know that they are caked with blood…. They are not just abstruse nonsense, they are criminal." The Spiegel critic compared Syberberg to the young Hitler, the failed art student in Vienna, who rationalized his failure by blaming it on a conspiracy of left-wing Jews. Syberberg feels he is an unappreciated genius, and he too blames it on the same forces.
"Frank Schirrmacher, the young literary editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and the scourge of woolly thinkers of all political persuasions, is equally opposed to Syberberg and draws similar parallels with the Twenties and Thirties. And like the critic in Der Spiegel, he singles out for special censure an interview with Die Zeit in which Syberberg claimed that he 'could understand' the feeling of the SS man on the railway ramp of Auschwitz, who, in Himmler's words, 'made himself hard' for the sake of fulfilling his mission to the end. He did not admire this feeling, but he could understand it. Just as he could understand its opposite, the rejection of principles to act humanely."[3]

It's a very good portrayal of the white middle class american male. De-fens is an avatar of rage that this group of people are experiencing now and the I feel the scene with the nazi is good at solidifying it. White men built the country, they kept everyone safe, they created this society that now everyone abuses as if it's their right to do so and all he wants is respect. The white man just wants respect for the job he did and for people to actually use what he built for good, but instead he's treated as the enemy by women, minorities and authorities that when he lashes out it's a shock and he needs to be put down immediately.

There's a great deal of irony: Nobody in the States knew what was going on in Eastern Europe. Chaplin heard stories, and create a film to portray one view of things. When the propaganda stories came back at the end of the War, he regretted it not being as severe as the stories. But in truth, it was all lies and false guesses. Still, the moral of the film remains.

I was about to post this. Absolutely great cinematography,
I also love the underlying anti-idealism theme. Not because it's edgy or bad, but because it resembles truth. The truth that all humans are imperfect people.
He wasn't an open-minded loyal non-racist individual who obtained all territories, revered by people, had sex with women, and raised a successful government. He was a sociopath who failed most of his objectives, betrayed his friends, and died with no one remembering his name.
In the real world, shit won't be handled to you on a silver platter. You're constantly placed in non-ideal issues that are intended to make you progress instead of stagnate. Despite being flawed, Lawrence was human because he simply made the best out of the worst scenarios.
It's a shame that Hollywood still promotes idealism and has good endings.

If underflail was a movie, it'd probably have come from the classic disney era as a child-focused coming of age tale. It also wouldn't be a big hit, because all the most memorable bits are a result of Toby being an Ayyy-class shitposter/troll which he'd never be allowed to incorporate into a movie. (not to mention you can't build a movie around fooling the shit out of people to that degree, it relies on the preconceived notions of the medium to do so.)

People I Know (2002)
Ygg's review:
A White Nationalist Classic.
If I had unlimited resources, the first explicitly White Nationalist movie I would produce would be a dramatization of the corrupt and cynical way in which the inner party dominated racial extortion coalition operates.
It would vividly show how sexual vice is used to control media celebrities and politicians, how violence is used when necessary, and perhaps most important, how the constituent racial and ethnic groups in this coalition all use each other and basically hate each other.
But miraculously, an outer party liberal - Robert Redford - has produced it for me.
It is called “People I Know.”
And it is the only truly explicit White Nationalist movie in existence. Braveheart may come close, but it is a Scottish nationalist movie - ardently separatist in its operation - which although uniting Scottish and Irish separatists in a uniquely modern and un-historical way - still involves fighting between groups of Christian Whites.
"People I Know" is an overt and explicit attack on the racial extortion coalition.
In some respects, it is similar to “Eyes Wide Shut”, but is much more explicit. The average soccer mom would miss entirely the ethnic driver behind the system of social control revealed in “Eyes Wide Shut.”
The “J word” pops up in the middle of "People I Know" and is used with increasing frequency through the climactic conclusion. You even get to see an inner party cabal in action - complete with billionaires, media barons, a Rabbi and bands of armed izzy bodyguards.

Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
Ygg's review:
For some time I have been concerned that we in the nationalist movement pay insufficient attention to culture and the arts. I am convinced that the same sensitive "code" antenna that we apply to news articles can be applied to movies. So let's place a few under the "Jewelers loop" and discover the deeper meaning.
Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" is a 10 karat D flawless - as good as it gets!
If you have already seen this movie I want you to see it again. If you haven't seen it, go. And enjoy the female nudity. It is all for a good cause.
For the truth is that Kubrick has grabbed the football and scored a touchdown. Many have seen the movie but (almost) nobody saw the quarterback sneak.
The kick off to my curiosity about this movie came in two parts; first, a clear memory of Kubrick's past masterpieces packed with profoundly politically incorrect content. He is not above using sex and violence to lure us to the theater to see messages that are profoundly disturbing to universalist egalitarians. 2001 Space Odyssey and Clockwork Orange are classic examples. This is another.
Next, and more important, were the uncomfortable movie critics on TV who, while admitting that this movie was about sex, thought that the American public would not want to see it.
At the first exhortation not to see this film, my code antennae sprung erect.
A clear warning that something in this film is at odds with the agenda of the inner party culture destroyers.
(For a subtle piece that uses every tool in the Hollywood arsenal of culture destruction to maximum effect see "The Election".)
The clear message from the inner party critics was that they wanted this movie to fail at the box office. Of course, I did not expect them to articulate their own reasons why. That isn't how our social signaling and instruction system works here in America. But in truth, I am not sure the inner party critics could articulate their reasons. Most likely, they watched the movie and smelled vague danger, but because the movie lacked any easily recognizable tag of hostility, they could not instantly summon the appropriate verbal script of rebuke.
Yes folks, its that good!
And the reason is the movie's simple act of deception. The inner party cannot recognize that a candid, relaxed portrait of themselves in their element is a hostile act. They may not like it, but they cannot bring themselves to bitch out loud.
