Feds and EUROPOL PAID MONEY TO JIM

Read carefully.

Last week a supposed technician of Jim's company (owner & hoster of 8ch) came forward in a former 4ch /tech/ sperg IRC and leaked information which supposedly depicted Jim giving access to US feds, but mostly European feds access to data of 8chan's servers.

We tried to verify as much as possible, given the technical details he provided and not long after that guy turned out to be genuine, along with the info he has provided.

The initial plan was to enable predominantly European feds with data of European posters using code backdoors, which is the reason why they pushed for NEXT being closed source in the first place. Apparently, prior to that, Jim has complied with European authorities to hand out specific user data to Europol for money and this is ongoing since more than one year. He didn't provide sufficient info about US feds for us to verify. In one case data was used to nuke a recent german right website, whose users would also visit 8chan frequently.

Whether HW knew about this, source could not answer, but it's safe to say that Jim and that cripple have a tight relationship.

Source is moving himself to a legally and physically more secure environment in the next two weeks. After that, there will be a complete dump, mostly technical in nature, since they used server endpoints to provide data to feds, not the website code itself.

So after 4jews, 8jews falls in line. GG.

Why the fuck would there need to be backdoors in the app itself? If they're collaborating with the feds, then just access to the DB would be sufficient.

Every time anyone questions whether the site is compromised or not, a dozen people come out of the woodwork to defend the absurd idea that it doesn't matter if the NSA catalogs everything you post online.

The standard assumption should be that all pols are compromised. But, I agree with your assessment. Even from a economical perspective, people like us aren't going to click adds. We are most likely a drain, so Jim needs other methods of yield shekels from us. The fact that so many people are sageposting and saying "Josh" is indeed suspicious, especially in light of the recent "unscheduled maintenance"
