For those who dont know the VA and DOD have been misdiagnosing ptsd and traumatic brain injury which a majority of combat vets have one or the other or both as depression. Every doctor I saw after I was injured concurred that I had a moderate tbi and ptsd. All of my disability paperwork either says depression and/or schizotypal personality disorder. Ive tried to fight it to no avail and every doctor ive seen since has agreed that it is complete bullshit.. And my case is far and away not an exception.

The reason public healthcare looks so good is because the one developed country in the world which doesn't have it allowed its healthcare system to turn into an insurance racket. It's not enough that hospitals charge unacceptable amounts to force people to get insurance, now insurance companies want to refuse to insure you if there's a chance you might get sick.
What kind of ass backwards logic is that? The only ones allowed to have insurance are people who don't get sick, and people who do get sick aren't allowed to receive treatment because the hospitals are charging prices that are meant to be reduced by 90% when they settle with an insurance firm.
How about cutting out the middle man? Make health insurance illegal. Suddenly, hospitals will be forced to charge acceptable prices or face bankruptcy since no one can afford their care.

1. Leftists use the law to place a legal backdoor with a concept of mental illness tied to gun ownership that at first is tied to depression.
2. The concept of mental illness is not a constant concept. It varies. And it varies according to the very group that created (1): left wing philosophers (especially critical theorists and those working in the philosophy of psychiatry) and left wing social workers, doctors, activists, etc. Leftists now pretty much control the direction of how mental illness is classified. See onwards from Foucault, up to the recent attacks on classifications in the DSM. It is now a variable construct that can change.
3. So, while leftists make sure trannies aren't classified as mentally ill, they will make sure all right wingers are classified mentally ill by probably varying the concept and broadening it. Which they have historical precedent for, see "right wing authoritarianism" (which is utterly stupid, considering the history of left authoritarianism).
