Anon, if you want to it doesn't really take more effort to make a dual-boot install than a just-linux one. You hit the power button on your PC, select if you want Windows for vidya or Loonix for the rest, and you're on your way.
And if you ever bother figuring things out a bit more, you can do a VM with GPU passthrough, so you wouldn't have to leave linux, ever.

M80, Steam runs perfectly fine on Linux, you can always dual boot for vidya, you can even Wine emulate if your system is 1337 haxor. Linux Mint has a very comparable look and feel to Windows 7 and it's a breeze to use. There are aome differences (like navigating the file system) and you'll need to roll up your sleeves and get dirty to do some things but if you can figure out how to Suikoden you can figure out how to Linux.
