Revisionfag here. Progress is going smoothly on the first story, though I must admit there was a long hiatus recently when I got my hands on Witcher 3. I'm currently at page 53 of 82, which Word tells me is equivalent to 92 of 130 in book form. When this and the other stories are revised and printed, I think we'll have page-turner of decent length on our hands.

This one is pretty cheap (compared to the other sites I looked at)

Maybe not. But I would be less likely to pick something up if it had OCs I didn't care about. This isn't a fangame or anything where the OCs are in the background and easily ignored. The point of buying a physical calendar in this age is half about the pretty picture. In this case where we're selling to bronies at cons, it's 100% about the cute ponies.

Also this is going to have a lot of personal upfront costs so if pairing up the mascots would maximize profits it would probably be for the best.

I don't think doing so is that much extra work but it's up to everyone else. Just bringing up points to keep in mind.
