Sadly all I remember from this is The Great Heap.

Time to watch them again.

Lucas wanted to do a Droids only movie at one point. It must have morphed into the Droids cartoon show.

I always preferred the Ewoks cartoon

I hope it's still canon…

Only things that are canon are the six movies, clone wars show, rebels show and the recent books/comics.

Everything canon is in the databank

Imperial Officer Screed from the Droids series appeared in the Tarkin novel, so my dreams are not dashed just yet.

I think my favorite thing about this show is that it's a vestige of an era when Star Wars could appeal to children in an episodic format just by showing you more of the universe, without tacking on too many major dead weight characters. I suppose R2-D2 and C3PO themselves were already "kid appeal" characters, but at least they were an established part of the world that no one was angry to see more of.

Like, I'm enjoying Rebels, but the kid appeal OC protagonist does more harm than good for me. I felt similarly about Ahsoka in TCW.

How recent exactly?

anything dark horse is non-canon

the canon comics are the new marvel comics: star wars, darth vader, princess leia, kanaan. i'm sure more will release as the years go on. however, there were a few books that released last year that are canon, the tarkin book being one of them.

The Tarkin book is cannon and that's where the name Sheev came from.
