yeah it's believed to be kylo ren's claymore saber (that's what i'm calling it) and it's a complete throwaway scene. luke finds it, realizes he can't do shit with it, and moves on.

I was looking back at my huge collection of shitty EU books (and the righfully good ones like X-Wings and Heir to the Empire) and i though i might get back into reading curated fanfic the new EU.

Lost touch of it when it really started to suck (Mara's death namely), but now i feel like it's a new occasion to get to read about Luke figuring things out as he goes.

So basically i'm a sucker for nostalgia, like any fucking SW fan.
