It might not be the
worst thing in the EU but it's definitely up there. The problem was the completely disingenuous way in which it was done. I actually appreciate EU authors for having the audacity to kill off a major / beloved character and create something that forever changes the Star Wars canon, but doing it to promote the silly ass Yuuzhon Vong war of all things felt like an egoistic cheap trick.
