For all the scheming Sheev made his plan to make Darth Vader his apprentice really backfired on him and he ended up glassing two guys who were better than him in the hopes of having a force prodigy working for the dark side.

Instead he gets an angry manchild cyborg grunt who has just enough power to shit on the left over jobbers of the jedi order.

Are you kidding? Everything went better than expected with Vader ending up a cyborg cripple. If he had come out of his duel with Obi-Wan on top, there would be nothing stopping him from eventually carrying out the indented result of the Rule of Two, striking down Sheevies and becoming the next Sith Lord himself. With Vader's power reduced down to just enough to carry out Palpatine's bidding and not pose a threat to him, the Rule of Two was pretty much shattered.

Speaking of the two thing, I don't know much about the canon/lore, but didn't Anakin basically bring balance to the force in Revenge of the Sith? He literally balanced it out so that there were two Sith and only two Jedi.

That line of thinking kind of falls apart when think how much more powerful Sheev+Vader are compared to old man Ben and deathbed Yoda. However a different way of looking at it would be that the previous Jedi Order needed to be torn down and replaced to bring balance.

There are a quite few lines in the prequels that mention Jedi are getting weaker, their ability to use the force declining. Maybe it was Anakin's destiny to both destroy the Old Order, and provide the means for it to be replaced as well.

pretty much. I never got why anyone wants to be darth vader. He has no limbs, He is burned to shit so bad he has to wear a uncomfortable painful suit that can never get out off unless in total isolation. He can't eat, breath, see, talk shit anymore without his life support suit. and thats just the physical shit. He watched his mom die after she was probably tortured and raped by barbarians, He kills his colligues and kids on the orders of a "friend" who uses him. he then murders his wife in a blind rage. now he lives with all the guilt plus the physical agony everyday for the rest of his shitty life, working for the man who fucked him over and all his bootlicking toadies.

>he then murders his wife in a blind rage

That was all Padme's fault, losing the will to live my ass.

That's actually pretty interesting, though I think his part two article is a pretty big stretch.

I want to see an alternate history Star Wars movie (diverging in the middle of Ep. III) where Anakin doesnt turn to the dark side but ends up bringing balance to the Force in the way people thought he would: by killing the last of the Sith. and everyone lives happily ever after the end

Even if it wouldnt make as good of a plot, I still want to see it.

The entire point though is that Sheev wanted the sith to succeed in their mission part of that is having an apprentice who will eventually superceed you in the force.

Anakin had raw potential but had the maturity of a teenager which carried over into his Vader persona of being a spoiled brat thinking hes better than everyone.

From the clone wars maul was a better apprentice because as soon as he got his sanity back he effortlessly used Sidious' training to build his own empire and train his own apprentice. He did this to prove he was better than Dooku and still a worthy apprentice.

Dooku while being extremely competent in just about everything could possibly lose to maul in a direct confrontation due to age and his inability to deal with duelists who can channel rage into their attacks.

Maul is a perfect apprentice as he is in his prime, intelligent, and proficient in combat.

Vader is essentially a fucking retard even as a sith lord. He plans to overthrow Palpatine but then brings Luke to the Deathstar so Luke can turn by killing Vader derp di derp. Why didnt he just let Luke kill the emperor when he got angry?

>Sheev wanted the sith to succeed in their mission part of that is having an apprentice who will eventually superceed you in the force.

No, not at all. He thought he was above the Rule of Two and instead was following his own Rule of One, where he was the one eternal Lord of the Sith. He never trained a single one of his many apprentices with the intention of them ever succeeding him. They were all tools to carry out his bidding, nothing more. In that role Vader was the perfect apprentice as he was more than powerful enough to do whatever was required, but posed no threat to Palpatine until he was redeemed and willing to sacrifice himself.

>He plans to overthrow Palpatine but then brings Luke to the Deathstar so Luke can turn by killing Vader derp di derp. Why didnt he just let Luke kill the emperor when he got angry?

That is what Vader originally wanted, but Luke wasn't playing along with that. Luke's anger outburst was also only directed at Vader and faded once he was struck down, Luke never even attempted to take on Palpatine.

yes he did thats how the fucking duel with him and vader started. the emperor goaded him into attacking and darth vader blocks his attack.

If Sidious wanted an apprentice that would not superceed him why the fuck did he say "Soon Lord Vader will become more powerful than either of us" Its pretty fucking clear by that statement that he wants a prodigy of pure force potential to become top tier Dark Lord of the Sith removing the Jedi from the galaxy allowing the dark side to dominate everything.

The only thing he may hope for is Vader allowing him to live if he never lost to Obi Wan

He wasn't so bad before the prequels came along. Maybe Rebels will "redeem" him. Or make him worse. Which ever.

Well it still kinda does can you think of a reason why your top dog apprentice is an asthmatic cyborg whos use of the force is limited to choking people and throwing objects.

Its pretty clear even from the OT lore that that Vader has been around for a long time and palpatine has been looking for a proper successor because Vader is just a worthless tool with no potential other than the fact he is good at locating the left over jobbers of the jedi order and murdering them.
