I think ROTS went a bit crazy with the designs and TCW continued on with that.

I like the TIE Interceptor the most with the Gauntlet fighters, B-Wing and the new TFA X-Wing in close second although we haven't seen much of the latter. If I could do non-canon starfighters it'd be the Starvipers and the TIE Hunters, though I don't know if I'd place either of them at the top.
