From what I know of the EU it sounds like some seriously OP bullshit. But I'd like to hear what some people with more knowledge of it have to say. Any of you dislike the EU? If so, tell why and have examples and stuff.

There will always be things I miss from the EU, but over all I'm not pissed about the slate being wiped clean for the story to go in one new cohesive direction. And everyone acts like the EU being non canon makes it not exist anymore. Canon is just a word that is used to sell things. I still think the stories that I actually liked are good - they didn't lose their goodness when they were made non-fake-history.

The EU had some pretty fucking dumbass lore here and there especially in between the films of the original trilogy. But it also had some amazing stories.

Either way I feel indifferent about it's removal. I would've preferred that they had heavily modified the EU to get rid of all that bullshit but that would've been development hell.

A ship the size of a fighter.

Its weapons are more powerful than the Death Star.

It is also impervious to attack.

It's like what a 6 year old would come up with as their kool space ship but it's a real part of the EU.
