So! Found that on Wookiepedia, thought it was an interesting concept. Has it been used in… well, anything outside a few paragraphs in a sourcebook for Star Wars Saga edition?

Also, faggotry for Core Users:

This is the first I have heard of the Core specifically, but I know that there have been various references to similar concepts in the EU in terms of AI hiveminds working together or Droids being connected to (or sensitive to) the Force. Most of these were either throwaway concepts or outright jokes. I can't really be assed to go find specific citations, but the notion is out there, even if it hasn't been as thoroughly explored as it could be.

There's an in-universe legend that R5-D4 was a jedi droid who purposefully broke down knowing that Luke would need the help of R2-D2 to save the galaxy.

So would this make IG-88 some sort of droid prophet?
