Separatism was the excuse Sidious gave to Dooku to make it seem legitimate. It gave them support from systems that were disenchanted with the corrupt republic. But in the end, it was just Sidious using the CIS armies to de-stabilize the republic and the jedi, so that he could consolidate power.

tl;dr: Separatism isn't evil, but the CIS were puppets

but their cause was legitimate. The republic was corrupt as fuck. Look at grievous' backstory. The Republic let the Huk invade Kalee and enslave the native because the Huk were richer. Now imagine that happening all over the place.

It always bothered me, kinda, not obsessively but still, how the Empire shot green lasers, like, aren't those supposed to be good guy lasers, given the lightsaber colors, and red lasers bad guy lasers?

Kind of weird actually. Rebel Ships use Red Lasers while Imperial Ships use Green Lasers.

However Imperial Soldiers have Red lasers and Rebel Soldiers generally use Red and sometimes Green.

Though I suppose that while lightsaber colours donate affiliation, colours of blasters are more down to strength (with Green being stronger than Red). Guess that is probably meant to show the superiourity of the Empire in Space.

i think it might have something to do with modern warfare:

American and NATO ammunition uses red phosphorous in their tracers, while Russia and comblock countries used green phosphorous in their tracers.

actually it was just the X-wing design team. it was actually part of operation Skyhook and they doo both the plans for the X-wing and all of the prototypes and early production run.

AFAIK at the battle of Yavin all the X-wings present were all the X-wings they had.
