I'm partial to the YT-2000. I just like the idea of a centralized cockpit for the transport.

For whatever reason, when I was a kid, I always imagined that when I was fighting for the Rebel Alliance, it would be in an A-Wing.

>>357You got a reason? I mean, I'm always slightly unsure what attracted me to it over the X-Wing. Something about the sleekness, I suppose …
No.380
>>358I like that it looks sleeker than the other Rebel craft, but the appeal mostly comes down to the speed. After a couple of missions in the X-Wing space sim I drastically preferred flying it to the other ships. Only fighter that ever came close was the Tie-Advanced/Tie-Avenger from Tie Fighter(pic related).

>>404> Destroy a planetYou mean destroy a star/solar system. It was crazy overpowered.
That said, it wasn't completely without fault, as it had a limited number of torpedoes on account of it being a prototype, and the external weaponry on the exterior wasn't as invulnerable as the rest of the ship.
But yeah, crazy overpowered.

I'm honestly surprised. A wing comes in a close second but I think that's partly down to the fact that my name starts with an A and as a kid that's great for whatever reason.
No.711
>>349>>357>>380>>384The A-Wing is the fucking Ford Pinto of the Rebel Navy. It's fast but the entire front of it is the fucking fuel tank, that's why the SSD got taken down when that A Wing hit it, because that was all the fuel in the very weakly armored fuel tank going off.
All these fags in fighters and retard ships don't know practicality when they see it.

>>522>>1221Slave I for sure.
The way it lands and takes off is something unique. It's overall form is unique.
A lot of other ships look like they were inspired by some real life vehicle or ships from other franchises. Here's what I mean:
>Most of the fighters (A-wing, Y-wing, X-wing, Naboo fighters, most republic fighters) all look like airplanes or derivatives of airplanes. Some of the Yachts from Naboo look like a cross between a retro 50's rocket and an airplane.
>Most big battleships look like boat-battleships (or Star Destroyers, which look like a cross between a plane and a battleship).
>Some others like like a flying saucer (Millennium Falcon, or the Lucrehulk class which look like something from Star Trek).
>The republic gunship looks like a helicopter. The Slave I doesn't have any other analogue outside the franchise. Plus it's powerful. Sure, it's not as nimble as a fighter, but Boba and Jango decked it out with heavy ordinance and turned it into whats basically a small gunship

am i the only one who sees that first pic and is immediately reminded of the sea duck?
the A-wing is indeed sexy, but I always liked the Y-wing for exactly the reasons the rebels did: it's a beat up old war horse that soldiers on long past the point of obsolescence, and still manages to hold its own.
If i were a rebel, i'd fly one of those babies, and have an R4 unit behind me to take any hits meant for me.

I loved the y-wing too. And even though I'm one of the guys who was hyping the a-wing, I forgot how much I love this ship. When I was younger my dad and I would play rogue squadron together. I always got to do the y-wing missions. They were my favorite.
