Didn't you watch the ultra special newly restored bluray edition? Owen and Beru were Jedis too. There is this newly made scene inserted where they take out their hidden lightsabers and try to fend off the stormtroopers when they come. The two corpses Luke finds are actually two imperial commandos who wore disguises but got burned when Owen used his force powers to blow up the house before they fled. Then during the end you can see them popping up in the crowd when they get their medals and the wave to Luke. Then in VI Owen and Beru can be seen to together with the rest of the Jedi ghosts on Endor after they died in a speeder "accident" inserted into ESB.
