Mr. Plinkett was right when he said the prequels created this weird, artificial, loveless world. Why aren't the Jedi allowed to love? The only remotely good reason I can think of is that it's because George Lucas got a divorce that one time.

I think it's this, the movies express a lot of George's issues.

The Death Star in A New Hope represents George's infertility and how he wanted to fertilize his wife's eggs.

Luke has his hand cut off (impotence/castration) by his overbearing father.

ROTJ has the evil sand vagina that wants to kill Luke.

Jedi aren't allowed to love because George's wife left him.
