Solid Snake had to kill his surrogate dad, who killed his surrogate mom. He has a clone brother separated at birth with an inferiority complex; he killed him too. Then his brother's quadruple agent compatriot pretended to be possessed by the brother's severed arm to motivate Snake to continue his fight.
