Let's talk some fucking Fatal Frame. It's a bit of a niche series so I'm curious to know if anyone else has played them? Favorite game, favorite protagonist, favorite ghost? Do you have any hopes for the fifth game?

I've heard ZERO news on the gameplay itself so i have no idea.
I know it uses the wiiu pad as a camera but i don't even know if it has an alternate traditional control method where you can just use the pro controller.

And check out some videos for V. It's been out for some months in Japan. It looks like it's a very much traditional play style for exploring and such, but the camera is now super smooth due to gyro controls with the gamepad. I'm not sure if you can play it with only the pro controller, but I don't see why you can't. I just hope the movement on the gamepad is smooth and not just a bad gimmick.

The pad is pretty good for this game, it fits, but i'm a traditional survival horror fan, i'd still like to use a normal controller, i hunted ghosts in FF with a normal controller just fine for years, all i need is a button to bring up the camera obscura and i'm set.

>>11555 Emulation is probably your best bet. Don't know if you can even find the older games retail anymore. PSN does have 1-3 up though, and you can easily emulate on the Wii and Wii U without the region lock for the wii version of 2 and 4.

>>11626 It's all about timing. Wait for the runes to form a circle, or gather more. The more runes that show up on the center, the more damage you get. If you get an action shot when they're coming right at you, you can deal crazy damage.

>>11667 Just hold the camera on them for a bit. I don't know what the center of the camera is, the circle. Can't be assed to look it up. Just keep them in the center and you'll see blue runes start to appear. The more that show up = more damage your pictures do.

>>13151 Nope. No word on that, though since Nintendo owns like half of the studio that makes FF, they could easily do it if they see a market for it. IE If 5 sells more than 5 copies. You can easily hack the vWii channel to run isos of the wii version of FF2 and a english patched 4 though. So that's half the series there.

Fatal Frame is one of my favorite series, man.
