Finally getting a clear shot at hearing it, I can say I'm not a fan of this soundtrack. I really hope they brought back klassic songs since MK4 had of the best MK music.
This feels more like it would fit better in an MGS alert phase than it does an MK battle. Imagining Solid Snake trying to infiltrate the Lin Kuei temple is pretty neat though.

Anyone kind of annoyed at how short the story mode is? It felt so oddly paced, especially since NRS made it sound like it'd be some kind of 25 year epic involving all of the characters. Shinnok was the most played straight villain I've ever seen, didn't even get very much fun gloating or anything out of him. Part of me hopes that we don't have to wait for another game to get a good continuation, yet another part of me despises story DLC.

Pyromancer is probably the best variation, it revolves around spells. You shoot fire, high and low, and you have a fire buff spell that stuns the opponent for the fraction of a second. Not to mention that the buff is pretty big, I think it doubles the fire damage.
The tonfa variation seems fun. Connecting specials, throwing tonfas(ex to boomerang them), probably the fastest of the variations. I get a Reptile feeling playing this.
The Dragon Naginata one will probably make Jadefags salty. Has a staff stance in which she hops on the naginata which she balances, and from which you can cancel, go into overhead, low and medium(or high not sure). Flashy but probably the least useful. I like it the most though.

I don't really care for MK these days - it's too far removed from the campy hilarity of 2, and too close to torture-porn for my liking (though I admit I chuckled at Cassie's selfie Fatality).
But are you all completely absorbed in the game, or did NRS just completely lay off their marketing division?
