I'm trying to find an old text based MMORPG I used to play. Basically, it had a pretty simple layout like pic related. You navigated the world by pressing compass directions (W, N, NW, etc) and by co-ordinates. The further you got from the center of the map, the stronger the enemies became.

You could bump into other players if you stand in the same co-ordinates and kill them. Death was permanent. Enemies around the starting area included Gnomes, Kobolds and Pixies.

Pic related is an approximation of the layout.

Also, I'm less certain about this, but I think it had fantasy in the title, might have been spelled phantasy. If was NOT PhantasyRPG (that game actually has a tileset and sprites for your character). You could save as well. It ran in java.

Anyway know the game or remember it?

>Tfw no boktai
I just want Kojima to make new IPs again, it doesn't even have to be Boktai, which was an amazing Action-RPG.

Legend of the green dragon?

Not the same kind of problem but I had a similar question and didn't want to make a new thread.

Does anyone know if old Cartoon Network flash games got archived anywhere. I'm feeling a real itch to revisit some childhood favorites to see if they hold up.

I freaking hope so.

By the way, I found the game. It's called Phantasia.
