I'm sorry if discussion about roms and emulators isn't allowed here, but I read the Rules sticky and it didn't say anything about them.

I'm having a problem with a rom of Dino Crisis 2; when I try to run it, it renders the character models invisible during the non-CGI cutscenes, even though they are perfectly visible during normal play.

I'm running the ePSXe emulator, although I couldn't tell you the precise edition, and I haven't had any similar problems with any of my other PS roms.

On a related topic, I also have problems running my roms for Persona 3 FES and Persona 4, where the game will sometimes "stutter" and become slow and jerky for a time - always when fighting certain enemies, like Ameno-Sagiri. This seems to be a problem with the edition of PCSX2 I'm running, as I had a graphical problem with Silent Hill 2 that cleared up when I upgraded to version 1.2.1 - does anyone know if there's an edition of PCSX2 out yet that can run Persona 3+4 smoothly?

I appreciate any help that people can give me here.

Can't really help with your DC2 problem but I never remember having a problem running Persona 3, maybe its the settings you're running it on.

I'm just using the default settings that the emulator installed with, as far as I know.

This is for the original Playstation emulator? Alright, I think I'll give that a try, see if it works…

Any of you emulate on Android? I'm trying to decide between FPse and ePSXe for PS1 emulation.

Only issue is FPse is a bitch to get running nicely, and having to sit through 23 videos doesn't exactly bode well for still attempting to use the fucker.

Any specific setup that will run games nicely with it?

Could be the game itself fucking up. Did you try another?

No other roms in my collection that I can recall playing have screwed up for me in the fashion of either DC2 or Persona3/4.

At first, I thought the problem was a glitchy rom download, but then getting a new version of PCSX2 fixed up the graphical and sound problems I was having with Silent Hill 2, so I figure it's probably a better shot to try a new Playstation emulator first.

Just wanted to let you know that PSX displays Dino Crisis 2 perfectly fine; clears up the problem I had with it. Just need to figure out how I can make saves there, and I'll be golden…

Anyway, thanks a ton for the assist.
