Don't you worry, anon, Iga has heard you and has put 'Iga's biggest castle' the stretch goal of $2.75m.
>Through the keyhole, you can make out a $2.75 million stretch goal that IGA's been excited to reveal for some time. More than all the other stretch goals this is something the Kickstarter has made possible: He's going to make this his biggest game ever. His original plans for the castle were conservative, but in keeping with the kind of work he's been able to do before. But that was all the way back at $500,000.
>His ambition has grown along with the campaign, and at $2.75 million he's finally ready to commit to making this the biggest castle he's ever designed. (He estimates that the world will be 25 percent larger than it would have been if the Kickstarter had only just reached its goal.)
I would have prioritised a larger (or second) castle before a boss rush mode and the other retro/classic crap. Boss Rush modes are only worthwhile if the bosses are good - I know a shitty second castle isn't worth much but at least it would be new content.
I'm hoping this will include things like new weapons. Otherwise the castle would just be spread thin with nothing to find. Though there is a crafting system so they can stuff it with that, I suppose.
On the stretch goal update, between 2.5m and 2.75 are six new tracks.
>These songs will be new compositions – not remixes – which should complement each of the six Classic Mode stages quite nicely.
>In addition to unique songs by Yamane and Yamada, we're thrilled to add a new artist to the lineup: Jake Kaufman, aka virt! You may know him as the prolific composer of dozens of songs/soundtracks for games including Shovel Knight, Ducktales: Remastered, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Shantae, and Double Dragon Neon.
Songs: two by Virt, two by Yamane and two by Yamada. So even if the game turns out crap there's something to look forward to.
There's also something planned for $3m but it doesn't say what.
