What are your favorite games to watch? What categories? Favorite runners? Or what about favorite games to run? Favorite tricks and glitches?

As for me, I really like watching Sonic '06 (no MSG), DK64 NLE and 100%, Mario Golf on the N64 and Doom. Genesis Sonic games are a pretty nice watch but I don't seem them that often.

I run Freedom Planet; been mostly focusing more on ILs with Lilac rather than doing full runs

I don't waste my time watching shit-eating stream whores speed run. I do the speed running.

Pic related, bes speed game.

As for favorite glitch, it's gotta be the mockball. No other glitch feels so natural to use.

I've been meaning to play around with Super Metroid more, but the most I've done as far as tech goes is getting down wall jumping; which has been more than enough for me to get places. I can brute force bomb jumping sometimes as well. Better at running around on Zero Mission than Super Metroid though. Zero Mission just feels more natural somehow.

Not exactly a speedrun, but I always enjoyed figuring out how to do a 100% run of Majora's Mask in as few time resets as possible. Speed wasn't the important thing, just being able to do as many things as possible in a given cycle. I had it down pretty well and I actually made notes, which I then lost.

As an added challenge I set myself the condition of only beating the game on the last cycle and fixing as many people's stories as possible within that last cycle. Fucking pirate fortress and romani ranch.

Interesting, how many times was it? I managed to beat Majora's Mask in only 6 days last time I replayed it; it amazed me that it was even possible when I first realized it.

I can't quite remember, since this was back in 2009 or so. I think I got to the sub-10 cycles point.

I've seen a few speedruns but I don't watch them regularly. Depending on the runner they can be decent background noise. Either somebody doesn't talk or is generally low key.

>Favourite tricks and glitches?

The teleport glitches like the ones in OoT and FFIII are interesting but only the first time.

Nobody uses it anymore for speedrunning but I do like the forward slash jump into a wall in OoT that allows you to skip the trials in Ganon's castle. I hate them and I've never completed them.

I did consider learning how to speedrun a JRPG because I just kept wanting to play it again (and I'm a fucking spaz), so I might as well do the majority of it quickly (I'd watch the cutscenes and do bonus shit). But after I downloaded the notes from the guy with the WR, an excel file with five-six sheets full of info, I decided it wasn't worth it. At least not now, I might do it later.

>Sonic '06 (no MSG)

Is that the glitch that involves dying while talking to an NPC and it basically skips the entire game?

Yeah, but how much it skips is dependent on the character. I believe it skips the most for Sonic, then Silver and Shadow it skips the least.
