>Bringing back the Arwing Walker from SF2
Star Fox 2 really wasn't that great of a game, so I don't know why people are so excited that Zero is drawing elements from it. Although it's an easy game to find a ROM of, it a game that frankly not a lot of fans have probably played, and yet they lament how it was never released just like how they lament the Dinosaur Planet that Rare never got a chance to release. Like >>17803 said, it looks like it's going to be more irritating than fun, and I would have rather see a drop-in, drop-out mechanic for an on-foot mode for ground-based missions.
>>Gyrowing with mini Direct-i camera for snooping around
Mini R.O.B. is cute as hell, but if the Gyrowing is used for any more than two missions I grantee the novelty is going to wear off quickly. Hopefully if there are branching mission paths there will be some you won't have to use it in.
>First stage from SF64 mostly rehashed with some changes
This is what worries me greatly. We're now getting a Star Fox "origin story" of sorts for the THIRD time (not counting the 3DS remake), and I'm frankly sick of fighting Andross. I'm really afraid Miyamoto's love for his past is getting in the way of progress, because he seems far too content rehashing things whereas at least Namco tried to push the story forward with the Aparoid Invasion story. The poor sales of Star Fox 3D should be proof that catering solely to the 64 and earlier crowd is a bad business move.
>No sign of Krystal
I really couldn't care either way, but people who are celebrating this like it's going to make Star Fox Zero automatically good are fucking stupid. If it IS good, it's probably because the series is back in Nintendo's hands with Platinum helping out, not because some blue fox that triggers a vocal minority's autism didn't get included. And if Zero does poorly just like the last few games, at least it'll be funny to see Krystal fans gloat that she wasn't the catalyst behind the series's performance after all.
