Didn't they piss everyone off by adding a bunch of dlc and no content?

I mean I think people kind of freaked out at the whole DLC thing. There was no day-1 DLC, aside from cosmetics. "Buy a skin for your monster" or "buy a weapon skin." If you look at the store page now, it's over $200 worth of DLC, but a lot of it is double-charged. They have a 'season pass' which contains 4 hunters, and those are also available individually on the store for about the same. So a $20 pack of 4 hunters ends up being $40 of DLC if you look at it at a whole.

That being said, there was very little content at launch. They kind of sold the promise that there were going to be 5-fleshed out game modes, but in reality there was only 1 and the rest were just essentially minigames. It might've been okay if it were $60 and the DLC was like $10 for a pack of 4 characters, instead of $25 for 4.

I think this game sets a great precedent of player's taking a stand and greedy motherfuckers getting what's coming to them.

Content was short and such bla bla, sure, that was a problem.

Main problem is that there were some people actually believing that the hacks that made L4D, something that barely qualifies as a HL2 mod, could make a great game.

The core gameplay is shit is the problem.

Going full SJW sure didn't help them any, considering they weren't going for the Candy Crush audience. I know my interest went straight to zero after the Josh Olin debacle, and that was even before their DLC bullshit.

A few months ago some basketball team owner said a bunch of racist stuff, his girlfriend at the time recorded without his knowledge and went to the press, Olin said that he might not agree with that guy said, but have to respect his right to free speech and acknowledge the fact that his privacy invaded, he got fired for that.

I honestly did not give a shit about the cosmetic skins stuff and i would have bought it if it was just that. But it was the season pass bullshit that killed it for me.

Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to put the new hunters and monster into different separate season passes and then making them like 15-20$ each.
