Pre-emptive E3 thread

Roughly 99 days until E3.

Predictions for the conferences?
Games you hope to see?
Gonna watch it with us or just catch up on the happenings once it's done?
Get out those score cards.

e2ec26 No.1882

Hopefully more info (gameplay would be better) of Scalebound. I don't own an Xbone but still.

Same for Zelda U, Star Fox and Silent Hills (at least confirmation on the platforms would be nice).
I'm still hoping something Castlevania will pop up but it's never likely.

>Predictions for the conferences?

Ubisoft being an embarrassing piece of shit as usual. An announcement with no gameplay that will be a buggy, horrible and boring experience on release.

Microsoft might announce something daft for Minecraft since it's theirs now. Their 2014 show was better than their 2013 one, so hopefully they'll keep improving.

>Gonna watch it with us or just catch up on the happenings once it's done?

As far as I know that weekend is free (like all of my weekends).

a9afbb No.1886

I've been saying this for a while now, but I don't think anyone takes me seriously: We're going to get a Metroid reveal, it's going to happen. Nintendo has been building that series up over the past year, and bringing it back into public consciousness bit by bit.

Other than that, Sony may have a few games, Xbox just has to not fuck up like they did last year, if Nintendo has a treehouse again, they'll win again, and the third party conferences will be ass.

>Games
I mostly want to see new IPs for once, but I say that every year.
Mad Max
Persona 5
Just Cause 3
I'm forgetting some others.

>Predictions for the conferences?

EA, Microsoft and Ubisoft all compete for being the most embarrassing retarded conference out there and tie, with Sony following them in 2nd place like usual. Nintendo will be the least worst by being mostly about games.
Bethesda is going to come into the ring with Skyrim references, and announce Fallout 4 and some other shit, maybe another Elder Scrolls. They might be more cringe-worthy than the others but we have nothing to go on for that.

>Gonna watch it with us or just catch up on the happenings once it's done?

That's my plan, gonna make an E3 fort, get onto a stream with /svidya/ and watch the shit go down with you guys. It'll be good. It's practically tradition for me now.

>>1882
I think Scalebound will go to PC at some point, but I have no clue if it will be good or not. I don't have unbreakable faith in Kamiya so I'm not on the hype wagon for it yet, and the CG trailer did nothing for me.

>Same for Zelda U, Star Fox and Silent Hills (at least confirmation on the platforms would be nice).

Zelda U seems potentially good. Star Fox is a wild card with a ton of potential. And Silent Hills has me skeptically hyped, might not be shit.

>As far as I know that weekend is free (like all of my weekends).

I know just how you feel.

>Metroid
Just reminded me: Retro Studios hasn't announced the Wii U game they've been working on since Tropical Freeze came out. Even if that isn't Metroid (would be great if it was) that will probably be announced this year.

I also remembered The Last Guardian. I wouldn't bet on that being mentioned.

>>1887
>EA
I forgot about them.

Also there's Squeenix. KH3 will pop up again and FFXV (that doesn't have a release date yet iirc so that would be a big push for preorders and shit).

>the [Scalebound] CG trailer did nothing for me

Agreed. That's really the only reason why I want more information since nothing has been seen of it since.

>Silent Hills has me skeptically hyped, might not be shit.

It would be nice to have a new non-shit SH game. If it falls into the 'lets do SH2 again' I'll be pretty pissed.

>I know just how you feel.

Great, isn't it? More time for video games.

Oh yeah the rumors I hear from devs is that this year Nintendo has locked another franchise to be WiiU exclusive, and it's supposed to cause more butthurt than Bayo2 did. Can anyone guess what it is?

There's been hints of Metal Gear Rising 2 being in the works though I'm not completely convinced Konami would do that and the Bayo situation was different (whatever it's on that could be announced).

PG has also been celebrating the second anniversary of MGR a little too hard. Too suspicious.

DMC keeps coming to mind but I would have to pretend that Capcom isn't going to kill it again after the remasters.

The deal was that they had three franchises, right? Or three new 3rd party IPs that used to be multiplatform. Devil's Third was only the first. Well this was all according to some leaker on neogaf or something like that, iirc.

I wonder who will have the most cringe worthy moment. 'All the feels' with EA was probably it for me last year (I've lost the .gif unfortunately) though Ubisoft was close since the woman presentator started crying. I suppose they'll be announcing a new "indie"-esque game as well.

>>1914
>Both konami and capcom have dropped support for the wiiu
True (as has Ubishit but considering their Wii output nobody's saddened by this). I couldn't think of anything else either - it was probably because of the action genre but if MGR2 is happening then E3 sounds like a reasonable place to announce it. I can't think of anything that would get people mad really. The ones that would don't see like things that would get a Wii U exclusive.

>>1944
>Deboot the Reboot
I like to think it will happen (it would be better for everybody involved - the DmC remaster is having dialogue cut because they don't like it, so even they're embarrassed) but they're doing the same old 'you want more of franchise X? Okay, we've released the same games again. You're not buying it? Guess you didn't really want franchise X. No more franchise X.'
They did add Virgil to DMC4:SE. I'll give them that; there's something new in the game (kind of). Hopefully will fix some of the DMC4 flaws.
Bad spin-offs aren't uncommon so it's not like it would be the first time a company tried something, failed and pretended it never happened. As bad as DmC was, I'm not against them trying new things but the DMC franchise was fine: don't fix what isn't broke and all that jazz.

>Don't know about that, all I've heard is that it's one game that's going to cause a lot of asshurt

Not to start a fight but I'm guessing it'll be a Sony-based game since Microsoft to Nintendo seems a bit of a stretch - though Bayo was a 360 game it always felt like a PS3 game on the 360 (like Infinite Undiscovery). The Wii U is full of games that would be in the Niche Nip part of a Sony library so one more makes sense. Some niche darling, I suspect (assuming it's true).

>We need a Mr. Caffeine webm.

Anyways I think it will be a toss up between Ubisoft and EA this year for most cringe-worthy moment.

>I like to think it will happen (it would be better for everybody involved - the DmC remaster is having dialogue cut because they don't like it, so even they're embarrassed) but they're doing the same old 'you want more of franchise X? I fucking hate that shit, and Capcom loves to pull that move. They need to realize that an HD rerelease will never equal the sales of that of a true sequel. And there's only going to continue to be diminishing returns in a market that has begun to get saturated with HD re-releases.

>Not to start a fight but I'm guessing it'll be a Sony-based game since Microsoft to Nintendo seems a bit of a stretch - though Bayo was a 360 game it always felt like a PS3 game on the 360 (like Infinite Undiscovery). Bethesda is in a league of their own in terms of how little they'll have to show (3-6 games tops with half of them being CG trailers and no gameplay to show) and how much of a tard following they have by now. Their terrible business practices and rampant greed will do them no favors as that kind of shit almost always translates into embarrassment (See EA, Microsoft, and Ubisoft).

I look forward to watching E3 with you guys. We should have our own stream to be seperate from the /v/ streams for it.

If it was I doubt they'd include the other 60% in the HD re-release. If we're just going to talk arbitrary numbers here I imagine we'll see 5% of the 60% that was supposed to be in it make it in (vergil and not much else). HD re-releases are pretty much just an excuse to touch up the engine and include the high quality textures they already made in the original development cycle in the game. I hate to sound so cynical, but I see them as a cash-grab until they prove otherwise. I still own the DMC HD collection despite this.

Fun fact: Most games are lucky to be released with most of their intended features intact.

They're not the sharpest knife, which is a shame because they have a lot of good IPs they're not getting the best out of (then again I don't run a video game company, so what do I know).

>>1987
It was something ridiculous like that. Obviously for the HD remake to fix that they would basically need to make another game but perhaps they could make some of the kinks less painful.

Even if Capcom announced DMC5, gave it to a developer that can do those sort of action games, Capcom is going to be the reason it won't be as good as it could either due to being greedy with DLC or impatient.

>>1988
>I still own the DMC HD collection despite this.
I bought it this week.

They did also do a cash grab with DMC3:SE: with 20% more Vergil.

Microsoft and EA are foregone conclusions, nothing of value will be shown.
I'm sure MS will fuck up with another Rare IP, probably perfect dark.

Ubi will probably do OK, but the games will be shit once released.

Sony is half and half, they can present some good things, but everyone knows they will waste their time with movies and other shit.

God knows what Bethesda will do, hoping for Konami 2.0

Nintendo will probably show zelda, xenoblade x and starfox, and with any luck a new franchise or a new game for a old franchise.
Hope they do the treehouse again.

I think it'd be hard for Nintendo to fuck up what they had last year. They're clearly aware of how great a success the Treehouse was after the views, plus the /v/ card, and then bringing them back to hype up Smash. All they have to do is repeat last year with new games, maybe less cringeworthy celebrity parts like "I played Smash all the time on the Super Nintendo.", and fewer technical difficulties. But even then, those were hilarious.

Conferences will more than likely be bland like last year, with some ok memes stemming from them like every year.

The only thing I'm truly excited for is Harmonix showing off more stuff related to Rock Band 4. Hopefully by then they will elaborate on this platform they hope to make it and maybe have some details out for pricing on legacy dlc/new songs. Want to see if they make a return to Rock Band 2 art style or even more bad looking than RB3.

Hope they also have news for hardware adapters, been using the white explorer for the 360 for the longest time so if they can't make the hardware work, I'm fucked and have to get one of the new shitty rb guitars with the squishy strum bar and fucking awful buttons.

I am hopeful maybe MS has something cooked up from Japan since they keep wanting to tease that market anymore trying to grab more of the core gamers. But I think with how awful it has been there, might just be more teaser trailers for Phantom Dust and Scalebound, and still no release dates, as well as no info on localization news for Raiden V/Psycho Pass/Chaos;Child.

I want to like my xbone I got for a gift but if ms keeps going the way they're going, it's just going to be a dedicated Forza Horizon 2/Rock Band 4 machine.

Where does the time go, holy fucking shit.

Man, I think it's gonna go down in one way and ONE WAY ONLY.

Sony either fucking bombs it and focuses more on movies AGAIN and shows off things we already know are coming (TLOU2, TLOU Movie, Ratchet & Clank Movie, Sly Cooper Movie, Uncharted 4) + some boring as fuck indie games OR
They decimate the entire show and bring that exclusive video game support that the PS4 needs.

Xbox.. well.. to be honest their show last year wasn't half bad. I wasn't into any of the games shown but they did in fact dedicate the Electronic Entertainment Expo to games like all studios and companies should.

Nintendo? C'mon man. They can't fuck up the Treehouse formula. That shit was literally the best E3 I've experienced in months. All the games, the fun times, GOD THE EVERYTHING. Unless it's Wii Music-tier, then I think Nintendo will be fine.

As for games, I'm really interested in… they are Scalebound, MGS5, Zelda U, Star Fox, and whatever projects Sony + Nintendo have in mind.

WOW
I almost forgot about Ubi and Bethesda…

Bethesda will show off Fallout 4 and "le skyrim 2" both will be even more casualized versions of their predecessors where all RPG elements of Elder Scrolls and Fallout are stripped and all that's left is first person combat.

Ubi will do a new Rayman PLEASE and a bunch of shitty games. New "next-gen" Ass-Ass Creed too.

Reminds me of the E3 two years ago with sony claiming a ton of exclusive support from around 100 developers for the PS4 and then around half or more slowly withdrew that statement over the following months. I'm skeptical now when they make claims like that, and only count them if they really have a game to show.

On Ubisoft, they're obviously going to do another Assassin's Creed, but I wonder, what with the diminishing returns of every release now are they really just going to make another copy+paste sequel? Oh. My bad. I don't follow the series but from what I've read it wasn't well received because it did nothing new. I forgot it's Ubisoft.

>>New Evil Within sequel ?

Seems risky for a game that didn't do well/wasn't well received.

>>Dishonored sequel ?

Reasonably likely. They said the sales and reception were better than expected and it could be a continuing franchise. As a stealth game it would have little competition.

https://archive.today/OBKsA
>"I can tell you that Dishonored is far exceeding our sales expectations, which is especially cool considering it’s new IP facing a host of well-established franchises this quarter," said PR chief Pete Hines. "We did terrific numbers again this past weekend, both in stores and on Steam, where Dishonored was listed as the #1 selling title over the holiday weekend. And Dishonored has really sold well overseas.

Nintendo's performance this console gen actually has me considering buying a WiiU this year, now that it has the best and biggest library of games released this gen. Especially if they announce MonHun4U at E3. At the very least I'm getting a 3DS When my tax returns come in.

>>2125
I mildly remember that. Yeah I think it's a sure thing for Bethesda's conference then considering they've probably been in development for at least a couple years. Probably going to be a 2016 release.

Their E3 last year solidified the Wii U as the best console of the generation already. It may change if PS4 gets games, and a lot of them, later in the console life, but between the Wii U's library already, it's backwards compatibility, and then the ease of softmodding it to enable emulation for every Nintendo system but the 64… That's just a ton of games. I'll probably be using it after this gen since I prefer using controllers and the couch, and don't like messing with vjoy stuff on my PC for the same effect.

Anyway, I think their E3 lineup will be even better between Star Fox, Zelda, Xenoblade X, and whatever else new stuff they'll show off. I'm convinced Metroid will get something.

>It may change if PS4 gets games, and a lot of them, later in the console life
The PS4 would have to get a lot of great games funded real fast. Even if they started last year, they probably won't be released by 2016 so the WiiU is going to stay ahead for some time. It also doesn't help upper management in Sony decides to fund retarded shit like The Order 1886 instead of using that bloated budget to fund 3 great smaller games with actual gameplay.

>softmodding it to enable emulation for every Nintendo system but the 64… That's just a ton of games. I'll probably be using it after this gen since I prefer using controllers and the couch, and don't like messing with vjoy stuff on my PC for the same effect.

Didn't know about this, good to hear. I'll probably be doing the same.

Nintendo will for sure have a few other tricks up their sleeve but Star Fox and Xenoblade and the mystery title are probably their flagship productions this year.

So Squeenix:

Kingdom Hearts 3 will definitely be there. FFXV doesn't have a release date yet but it's for late 2015 and I wonder if E3 would be too late to announce the date, unless it was December or something. Either way they'll do something big for that to draw in pre-orders and excitement.
I was thinking whether or not they would announce another remaster since the X and X-2 one seems to have sold well and announcing it probably wouldn't draw attention away from FFXV. There was a whole thing about whether or not FFXII was hinted at getting a remake and FFX-3 existing because of the bonus audio and novel. It was over a year ago though. I'd be very surprised if they said they weren't going to remaster another FF game - seems like everybody's doing the safe option of releasing the same games again right now.

I hope CDPR shows us something good. I secretly think/hope that they are doing this all to jew microsoft and get money and when the game releases, the PC version will actually be bells and whistles better than the console versions as plain as day, but nothing will be officially said about it because microsoft said they can't admit it

The PC version is already confirmed to have as many bells and whistles as the Witcher 2 does. There's no conceivable reason it wouldn't, even if they were trying to cut corners. I think it looks pants because I had to shrink it for it to fit. Once I make it bigger, tidy it up and add more it should fit. They're not even the same size at the moment.

I also wanted to make more like a checklist so I could mark whether it was a correct or wrong prediction.

I'm hoping to see Crackdown 3 but I think it has about a 40% chance of being shit, new Halo Wars for PC would be cool too but probably wont happen. And I could also see MS maybe getting some weeb game/jRPG to be exclusive on the xbone in an attempt at gaining some audience in Japan like they have tried before, but it always fail so its unlikely at this point.

From Sony I'd love a new WhipeOut that wont run at a piss frame-rate in w/ black borders just so they can have it look as realistic as possible and is not pathetically easy because they are afraid of scaring away the normies. But the franchise seems pretty dead at this point so I might as well stop dreaming at this point.

At Nintendo I'm holding my thumbs for them to release the regular size new 3ds in EU and Burgerland. Also hoping for a new F-Zero

Stoked for a new Fallout, hopefully it will be made by Obsidian. After what they did to Quake Live I'm skeptical about Doom 4. EA might show a new Need for Speed, Rivals seemed pretty alright except for being locked at 30fps.

From Sony…Vita games. Come on, Sony, I've decided to pick up the Vita for the weeb shit, so please give some effort for your handheld platform just like what Ninty did for the Wii U or Sega did for the Dreamcast, and so on.

For Nintendo…

Fatal Frame V would make my day, as is a Fatal Frame IV remake for the Wii U. Make sure to bring it to the West.
A release date for Xenoblade X, Starfox, and Devil's Third.
Monster Hunter UUUU for the Wii U.
Splatoon DLC featuring Ika Musume.

As for predictions

>Microsoft

Hard to tell. Last year they didn't fuck up but it was playing it safe. This year they likely won't fuck up again but maybe go riskier since they will have Halo and Gears backing them up and this will really be the first year of the new management who will be hungry and more adventurous (The first game they greenlighted after the re-organization was Phantom Dust. By the way, leaked gameplay of the cancelled bone version leaked and looked awful so I'm not surprised they canned it from that developer) Rare IP's will likely be back but not by Rare (Considering how well Killer Instinct turned out, not necessarily a bad thing). Also one or two of the FASA IP's I bet (The "We're bringing back a real Xbox hueg" game this year will probably be Crimson Skies and Shadowrun looks ripe for a AAA RPG)

Win 10 will probably just be mentioned as an update for the xbone as Win 10 is launching during the Summer though. No PC gaming announcements likely, though I'd like to be surprised. Probably the more interesting of the three on closer inspection

>Sony

Last year was kinda lame. This year, depends if they are chasing that VR dragon. Will probably have some good franchise exclusives but the loss of Uncharted from this year probably means they are going to try sell you 3rd party games as exclusives like Destiny (Star Wars: Battlefront, going by current leaks) but 1st party might be dominated by VR. Maybe they will get some 1st parties and not go full retard on it like MS did with Kinect. I want to be surprised, but the arrogance came back really quickly this gen.

>Nintendo

The Wii U's last stand. They will pack it out with Zelda, Starfox, and maybe fund some ports like Monster Hunter 4. Very likely will have a big third party get just to pad out the library as well. It's already leaked AMD are working on a new console x86 SOC so NX is likely further ahead than thought. We might get a good amount of detail there and then for a late 2016/early 2017 launch.

GG has really killed my enthusiasm for press events like E3. There is little room for the games that interest me anyway; which are usually better served through videos or streams direct to the public over the web.

E3 is all about the retail buyers, so they want to see what's going to sell for Christmas; we only had the illusion that it was representative of the industry at large a decade ago because the types of games being sold were less expensive to produce and more diverse.

The root of this pessimism is my eagerness to get excited about something, but I've been disappointed by a lot of my favorite developers over and over as of late.

Microsoft: More on scalebound, more "premium Indie" games, something on the new halo, and a few exclusive games that are exclusively on the xbox one… and the PC. Maybe something with Windows 10 since they are trying to push the gaming angle on that.

D to a C, maybe a low B.

Nintendo, Updates on the new instalments of their big franchises (StarFox, Zelda, Fire Emblem), a new mario spin off, some sort of third party game probably for the 3ds, the announcement of a new game in their big franshise (Maybe new 3d Mario, Metroid, Hopefully F-zero), If we stay neutral enough, maybe they will say something about SMT X FE.
C to B, maybe A work but ultimatly an F because all the news will not be from E3.

Sony, More on Street fighter V, some more exclusive game that will piss off someone on the internet, some Final Fantasy XV and a little bit on Kingdom Hearts 3. Some info on some new bullshit service, More on Uncharted, some more cinematic shit.
D to A, probably going to be the most subjective one.

Konami, Wont show up again, F.

Ubisoft: Celeberties, Girlboners, dancing, new asscreed, Connectivity, Uplay, "Changing the way to play/connect/interact"
D

EA They are going to revolutionize the way you play sports game with the new feature in the new games. Some Bond Villain looking dudes, probably something by bioware, maybe something about that new starwars battlefield game.

Wasn't Sony the one jumping on the Indie bangwagon the past 2 E3's to try and add some games to their console? I'd likely see them do it again than MSoft considering how ruthless MSoft can be to indie devs.

They have done it so far in the indie showreels (Mighty No. 9 was in the Xbone showreel last year as I remember) but they haven't done a mainstage presentation. If Sony's feeling particularly stupid, they might do Amplitude since that's their IP and they told Harmonix to kickstart it while keeping it PS3/PS4 exclusive. Not the first time its done (Smith & Tinker are currently licencing Shadowrun from Microsoft) but that one was a hyper dick move because it was kickstating a Sony IP for Sony platforms only. No PC release or even an option for Harmonix to buy the IP.

But then I'm surprised none of the big three have come up with a proper "Kickstart our old IP's for us, LOSERS Consumers!" scheme yet.

Those were the press. It used to be common at CES and carried over to E3. Nintendo conferences were renowned for being "Crazy" though they did let an awful lot of fansite owners in. Sony and MS do run competitions to allow a limited amount of public in though.

Ideally Nintendo should really be running the direct live on stage at E3 to try generate more buzz.

There is most likely going to be at least 1 massive game announcement from Nintendo, 2 is a strong possibility, Retro has been working on a Secret Project, Its most likely Metroid (Please be Metroid) but could be something else, Nintendo EAD probably has something, Animal Crossing U, more Star Fox, maybe Revive F-Zero from the dead, maybe a Mario, also our yearly Pokemon hasn't been announced maybe Game Freak will shock everyone by making a Wii U Pokemon but thats unlikely, most likely is a Sequal to X/Y, out side Nintendo I so hope Playtonic gives us more Project Ukeleles and more Indie games announced for Wii U

Hololens devs at build were saying not to expect a main stage presentation as it's still a way out (No retail dev kit yet. Only select dev partners have it) and Spencer already said there won't be VR or AR at the stage demo. So it's probably going to be a side thing. I don't really expect much xbone support since by the time Hololens comes out, MS will likely be moving on to the next console. So probably going to be an evolution of what Illumiroom/Surround web was going to be on late gen xbone titles. I'd probably expect an evolved version of that Forza concept they did with SurroundWeb (Pictured) along with the Minecraft demo they showed before and maybe a Halo one with old Illumiroom concepts.

bdf14e No.16019

>>16016

> I think there's too much money involved trying to sell more PS4s and Xbones for a PC version to get announced now.

Big sales for GTA V and MGS GZ on PC show there's a much bigger market than anticipated for well done AAA ports on PC. I could see them announcing FFXV and maybe Kingdom Hearts 3 coming to PC at a slightly later date than the console release without a trailer and just an announcement from Wada on stage (Likely to catch the Double Dippers) or they do it at Square Enix conference since it seems like they may be partnering with Nvidia.

Probably one of the more interesting aspects of E3 this year. How much are Sony going to fork out to stop games going to PC as that market keeps growing exponentially and even JP publishers can't ignore it any more.

The guy responded to someone snooping at their hirings that the project Gregg Mayles was leading was going to be at E3 and confirmed his project was in dev (Simon Woodruffe was Creative Director on Sonic All-Stars Transformed on Sega's end and was known for a bunch of Horror Games on the Amiga in the 90's like Waxworks and Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark) as was Louise Ridgeway's (Lead Artist and a Gameplay lead on Viva Pinata, you probably know her as most of the female voices in Conker's BFD and Leafos in Viva Pinata) and none were Kinect games as well.

So Rare have 3 projects, not Kinect at all and we have to wait till E3 to find out what one of them is. Playtonic said they were quite excited about what Rare is doing now as well. So it's going to be quite interesting what they show.

Well Gears Of War Ultimate Edition just leaked. So that was probably going to be announced although we expected it.

They did say that most of the conference was 1st party and there was no real indications on 3rd party what games they have co-marketing with. Assassin's Creed Syndicate doesn't have any (And after the Unity shitstorm. I don't blame them). Rock Band 4 might be getting a stage demo or trailer and rumours are that COD is at Sony this year.

If they pull off a conference mainly full of exclusives and no Kinect, I'll be really impressed. I'd expect a small show-reel for what game support they are planning for Hololens and Windows 10 though. Maybe an exclusive PC game (That RTS their new RTS studio is making?). Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they do a showreel of PC Games supporting Direct X 12 which includes a number of notable backports (GTA V and Project CARS sound ripe for it. Maybe Witcher 3?)

Their advertisers are fucking retarded at getting the mainstream but can make funny viral videos like this with Mega 64 that get the internet audience. Go figure.

People will be watching though. Will be interesting to see how they handle the Wii U/3DS to NX transition.

This thread was going perfectly fine on /v/ until fucking dubs faggots ruined it.

This is why we need /svidya/.

Was it? I actually got those from 4/v/. We had a fantastic thread that dead naturally after hitting bump limit.

>Natsume has confirmed their lineup of games for this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.

https://archive.is/mSI8Z

>Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories (Nintendo Wii U / Steam / iOS / Android)

Reminder: this is not actually Harvest Moon/Ranch Story; Story of Seasons is. Natsume owns the name 'Harvest Moon' and slapped it onto something similar for the sales.

>Ninja Strike (Nintendo Wii U)

>Gotcha Racing (Nintendo 3DS)

>Brave Tank Hero (Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U)

Reminder that it doesn't matter because Marvelous Interactive has been shitting up the series since A Wonderful Life. If anything there's the possibility that Natsume can make a better Harvest Moon without them.

Not that Natsume necessarily has anyone like this around anymore, but they used to be a fantastic developer.

I've always thought about what a remake of this game would be like. That soundtrack deserves a revival.

I can't comment on that because I've never played a Harvest Moon game, so I wouldn't know. I'm just sick of people thinking it's part of the franchise. I figure people here either already know or don't care but I'd rather say it.

The last "Harvest Moon" game Natsume published was by Tabot, Inc. and I can't find anything about them. I think they've only done that one game. I don't mind another franchise in that genre, it's healthy (if HM has gone bad, then people can try this other series instead, etc.); the name thing is just there to trick and confuse people.

Nevermind. I'm retarded. They did some work on some Love Plus games, some junk and some anime things that didn't get localised.

There was actually a sort of mini revival in cabal shooters last generation with games like Zombie Panic in Wonderland and Sin and Punishment 2.

The one game announcement we were all waiting for, I'm sure.

Hmmm. Depending on my hours next week, the only conferences I'll be able to catch live are Bethesda's and Sony's.

Only one I'm going to miss out on is Square as it's during Nintendo's event. I'm fine since it'll likely just be XV and KH3. I don't have a PS4 or an Xbone so no real reason to be hype for either game.

>Only one I'm going to miss out on is Square as it's during Nintendo's event.

How long is Nintendo's show?

Squeenix will have their Western announcements as well, Hitman, Just Cause 3, Tomb Raider, etc.

I'm probably going to skip Bethesda. It's at such a stupid time, I don't play their games but it might be memorable.

The event itself is likely 30-40 minutes, an hour tops. But they do run a stream for the rest of the day, and the next two days after. I had a blast in the Treehouse threads last year, so I don't want to miss that.

I'll be enjoying the Bethesda stream as well. Fallout 4 reactions alone will make it worth it.
