So now that all 4 episodes are out, what did you all think of it?

I honestly enjoyed it quite a bit, I was rather apprehensive about it when I heard about the micro transactions nonsense but none of it has popped during my time playing it, it mostly seems to be cosmetics for some guns or just lives which you can get for free anyway(you start with 10 and get 3 if a day if you do the daily.)

The campaign was pretty good, well paced, the emphasis definitely seemed to be on Barry though as his episodes where much longer, the way to get the good ending is a little unintuitive but eventually I figured it out, the sequence at the end is well worth, its pure Resident Evil camp.

Raid mode is a bit weird, instead of having those labyrinthine like stages from the first game, its more of a shooting gallery, kill X number of enemies and it uses sooooooooooooooo many re-used assets from RE6, its not bad and it tickles my autism bone with levels, stats, randomized loot and shit but I liked the original more, doesn't stop me from still playing it though, its pretty obvious the average player is gonna trouble with the later stages, that's probably where Capcom is expecting people to buy the 1-up DLC shit.

All in all I'm impressed at the quality of it, especially for a relatively cheap title, its not a huge fucking mess like RE6 was and its nice to see Claire again, her alternative short hair outfit is fantastic and I hope we get some rule 34 of it soon.

Forgot to mention the lives thing is raid mode only, campaign is normal, if you die its game over.

The segment in episode 3 with having to get the two livers by searching the factories was about as close to old-RE as we'll ever get I bet.
I was pretty dumb about figuring out how to get the key in the spike-ceiling room, ended up wasting quite a bit of time trying to hunt down something to pry it loose.

All those locked doors were a nostalgia-trip of their own, even if the segment was relatively short.

I haven't beaten it yet but people have spoiled everything already, so I don't mind joining the discussion.

I felt it was pretty interesting how bluntly they showed the virus from RE5 in the end of Claire's EP3 segment; I was wondering why it had completely disappeared in RE6.
Does this mean T-Abyss might return too?
I also feel like if RE6 itself wasn't so bad, the J'Avo "evolving by bodily deformation" monsters would be pretty neat in a future game.

How does this compare to the original revelations? I played the original on 3ds and enjoyed it.

Ok i think i am going to ask this here.

I have not played a Resident Evil game since the second one, which ones are good or atleast entertaining and playable on PC?

I can only see RE geting worse, such a shame.
Try convince me in opposite.

4 is good. A must play. Much more action oriented but its so good that I personally don't care. Revelations is pretty good, but can sometimes be too action oriented, but unlike 4 when it gets action oriented its pretty boring. Also the plot can get pretty stupid. People either love it or hate it so I'd be cautious about that one.

PC and PS4 got a performance patch that fixes the framerate issues.

I've been playing a lot of Raid mode and it's moderately enjoyable, same type of RE as RE4 ownwards.

Bit of a different feel, instead of a huge ass boat you go through various areas instead of decent size, they have collectibles to, the monsters have a totally different feel as well as they're like really fucked up zombies that can still run and smack you with weapons, there's also some major bosses along the way that are creepy as shit, nothing with guns thank god, just weird monsters.

The game also has some stealth elements but they're done quite well.

You don't jump through multiple characters its just Claire/Moira and Barry/Natalia.

Overall I enjoyed it more than the first, it was spookier.

4's pretty good but a bit easy, 5 is acquired taste, I personally enjoyed but many did not, main issue with 5 is that its not scary at all since its constantly in the day-time.

6 is a huge fucking mess, it has 3 separate campaigns and they tried to appeal to old school fans and still make the game more action, what we got was a game that makes nobody happy, Mercenaries is super fun though and worth the price for that alone, I'd advise getting it on sale.

REmake is fantastic, its a remake of the original and still holds up today.

Revelations 1 are 2 are extremely good and well worth the price each.

Thanks.
I downloaded one version of RE4, but that worked like ass on my XBawks controller.

But basically i should check all of them.

I liked it for the fanservice more than for the actual game
Some of the puzzles like the liver and eyeball were pretty cool
Moira is probably my least favorite RE character out of all the games in the series
I think if you took the Barry/Natalia dynamic, took that out completely, and made it into another zombie or monster horror game not related to RE at all, it would be fucking amazing (especially if there were more things Barry couldn't see without Natalia's help). Like ICO but where both characters need each other instead of just an extended escort mission.

All purpose RE thread? Because if so I'd like to ask about some things with RE 5 for PC, since I have a cracked version and it's really brutal for me since I simply don't have a down arrow; I can't navigate most of the menus by the red arrow button because it's not clickable and I can't scroll through shit. I just want to know how to do Wesker's super dash and his other super moves on keyboard

18bc48 No.12889

>>12855

Wesker's dash was pressing down on one of the sticks, not sure how that would work on a KB, as for his super moves, do you mean his melee? Cause that's all context sensitive, stun the enemy then get close.

you can't do that windfall kick by just pressing square with a controller any time?

Like The Last of Us?

I always thought I was above the usual "tits&arse banter".

But I just can't bring myself to play/watch anything about it because how fucking disgusting Claire looks like and how disgusting everything about Moira is, especially when she open her gobber and talk.
