What do you mean. Are you talking about series that publishers/devs have massacred beyond measure, or ones that have fairly decent or controversial different games in the series that people divide their opinions on (E.G. pokemon).

Sonic probably has the most split.

You have classic, adventure, modern, werehog surprisingly, RPG due to the shitty Sanic 4, Rush, GBA. Maybe even the Master System games are their own section as well.

No one can decide a specific style. No matter how well SEGA do now, they're still going to piss off their fanbase if they do decide to do anything.
