I can't believe I forgot to make a thread until now; it isn't really home without a Falcom thread in the catalog.
>What are your favorite Falcom titles?
>What are you playing right now?
>You getting ready for TitS SC, anon?
For folks that haven't heard of the company before; Nihon-Falcom is a company that has developed many classic japanese titles on the PC; including the Ys series, the Sora no Kiseki series, and what have you. Over the last decade they've been away from PC development themselves, but a lot of their titles are only just now finding their way over to our shores. XSEED primarily publishes Falcom titles in the west, although Gurumin is being released by Mastiff in just a few days for PC.
Some recently translated/released titles are;
>The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC (PC)
>Brandish: The Dark Revenant (PSP/Vita)
>Ys: Memories of Celceta (Vita)
And of course, Ys VI PC, TitS SC, and Gurumin PC are all being released in the west soon.
Titles being released in Japan soon, are;
>Ys 8
>Tokyo Xanadu
>Unannounced New Project
Now - lets have ourselves a Falcom thread!

>You getting ready for TitS SC, anon?I still haven't finished FC for some goddamned reason, and I was waiting for it all winter 2013.
I hope Tokyo Xanadu brings more Valse pour Xanadu remixes
and a PC port..

81d98b No.8009
>>7958I am but I haven't played it yet. It's pretty much done (v4.08). The only later patches they're going to do is script revision (so it all reads properly) and bug fixing - unless they find an area they've missed, which I doubt.

Is Ys V worth giving another shot? I tried it a while back and according to my save I got about 4 hours in and stopped about there. I can't remember if I just got distracted by other games or if I just didn't like it enough to keep going.

I love how on Celceta there's a bug where sometimes you can't get a coin dropped by an enemy and the partners start spinning like retards around it.
And one time they started to dash around me, they looked like they were jumping like frogs.
Also, next time learn to post the proper trailers faggots
20dd7f No.9119
Also, talking about the Gurumin keys thing: as you know, they said first to vote yes, then later to comment. This can lead to the "did I put the comment?" confusion. What if they take advantage of this and delete comments? How many people would be fooled that they forgot to leave a comment?
f1e0bc No.9132
>>9119That would be so extremely shitty I don't think it would be worth the backlash. They'd probably end up losing more from people choosing not to buy their game because of it than they would save from getting away with it.

In Gurumin is anyone else having trouble not doing the moves where you circle that analog stick around? I keep doing them when I don't mean to and it's really annoying. I imagine in the later difficulties this would cause many deaths.

It was Tom who chose the tracks to go on the Ys Silver Anniversary Album, right? He's got good taste in Ys music. I don't think I've ever seen such a large album come with a game before. So how do I get the Princess Dress in Gurumin? I bought all three hats from gramps and he gave me a Silver Medal but no costume. The wiki says to give him 30 Gold Medals and I think the prices for all the hats add up to 30.
By the way, I went to check the dresser and I had bought the Maid outfit before but this time there was nothing. Obviously it glitched but is there a way I can fix it? I'm wanting to eventually 100% the game and I'm hesitant to finish this first playthrough right now if there's a glitch which erases all my costumes.

Sen no Kiseki confirmed to be coming over under the name "Trails of Cold Steel". They're bringing it over before 3rd, Zero, and Ao for multiple reasons which are in this blog post.
Personally, I'm excited. They say you can play it before having played the unreleased games but I'm still unsure if I'll play it. I'll certainly get it though so I can have it for the future (if I don't play it immediately) and support the series getting localized.
