I don't disagree with the rest of your points, but I merely find it humorous that you say that when I've seen several Commiefornians react to recent Texas politics (like that whole business with Ken Paxton saying it's fine to not hand out marriage licenses to same sex couples if you don't want to) through mocking via "What are they gonna do? Try to secede?" followed with "I hope the United States PUNISHES them if they do! Send the armies in!". Quite a few from what I've seen have made it clear that they want our blood if we ever did secede.

I travel a bit due to doing some clinical trials, and I gotta say I enjoy Houston a lot more than Austin or San Antonio. The night life is a lot nicer, and things aren't as expensive in terms of living expenses.

I spent a fair bit of my very early years in Wichita Falls because my dad was stationed at Sheppard before having to move to the Northeastern part of Texas, almost right next to Shreveport because my mother got moved to a Social Security office out here and my dad transferred over to Barksdale.

Outside of on-base stuff, I really don't remember Wichita Falls having jack shit besides horrid weather all the time on account of the fact that it borders near a tornado-heavy region of Oklahoma.

Just try to make people see Texas favorably. Also make sure to post on /texas/ and get more people to post on /texas/. As for Texan things to do, Texas is sort of like a mixture of Southern culture and western (with a little bit of Mexico blended in). Cowboy/Western wear is definitely a Texan thing, although its not exclusively Texan and most Texans don't wear it (except maybe cowboy boots). I don't really see much western shops in other States. The most Texan thing you could probably do is be really proud of the State.
