Use this thread to tell me about how I'm doing with regards to moderating the board. If there's something you want me to do, or you disapprove of an action I've taken, post here about it.
This thread can also be used as a general "talk to the moderator" thread.

The first thing I want to ask you guys is, do you want to know who I am? Because I'm pretty sure you guys don't know who I am, and I'm not sure if you guys want to know, now that I'm the only moderator here.
Keep in mind that once you know who I am, you can' forget, or otherwise "unremember" it. So think carefully before you answer "yes".

It's become apparent to me that I'm not able to separate my personal feelings and discomfort towards certain topics and be a competent moderator. I'm leaving now, I hope the other mod does a better job than I was able to. I'm sorry if anyone felt like I had split the community apart, that was never my intention. I made this board when people were threatening to leave /ttgg/ forever because of NFA, and I thought if I made somewhere people felt more comfortable then nobody would have to leave. I don't think we can ever go back to how we were when season 2 of twdg first started, and regardless of my intentions and hopes this community is splintered. I never meant to cause any trouble or frustration. I hope eventually either everyone is united on one board, or at least is able to get along. I have trouble articulating so I hope you are all able to understand my regret and guilt. I hope none of you hold any ill-will towards me, I really do love /ttgg/ and I don't think I could have enjoyed the games TellTale put out this much without you all.

Not sure if this is worthy of a thread, so feel free to delete if not, but I figured a lot of anons would come here with some general questions like myself, so…

1. What happens to threads after they reach the image or reply limit? Do we have a set number of pages of threads that will be kept?

2. In the same vein, are image reposts allowed? If not, what happens once we've gone through several sets of threads and all of our /ttgg/ related reaction images and content has already been posted?

3. Is there any possibility for an archive of sorts? One of the best parts of /ttgg/ being on /vg/ was the fact all of the threads were archived, saving a lot of the best moments. Obviously, this would only be needed if threads begin to 404 after a certain period of time.

Personally I think they did some good work with the character personalities, as even the characters you don't have to interact with have at least some kind of character. Had this been a Telltale game, those kinds of characters would have one or two lines of dialogue and use the same bloody models.

Because the developers really wanted you to side against Kenny at the end despite giving him the good endings. A design choice that baffles the fuck out of me, and I really wish the developers would give their reason for why they did it this way, in the hopes that they actually had a good reason for it, instead of just blatant character bias.

Yeah, "better" might be a better (heh) word to use since Clem isn't exactly completely safe in any of the endings. On one hand, Kenny will always protect Clem & AJ no matter what, but it's a dangerous world out there, who knows what can happen to them? It might be safer for Clem in Wellington, but none of the people know her. They have no obligation to keep her safe, outside of perhaps her being a child.

I'm saying this now because we got a season 2 where Clem is the protagonist and it sucks, but I think season 2 could've worked with someone else as the protagonist. I'll explain once we're in the new thread.

I think that would be preferable, even if it did feel disjointed. Hell maybe it could've worked if the entirety of the season was not one continuous narrative, but rather the sporadic telling of important events in Clem's life. It would be incredibly limited of course because they can't go past the comic in timeline, but it still could've been better than what we got.

Bit of both. Jaime randomly raping Cersei after his redemption arc last season almost made me quit, but the episode that's coming up tonight finally did it for me. It's out of character, it's gratuitous and edgy as fuck… you'll probably see soon enough.

I agree, the timeskip was a huge issue. And as you said, the fast pace of S2 didn't help at all. The multiple time skips idea could work, provided that there was enough time to develop the characters and relationships between those time skips. Then again, S2's story might have worked too if they gave us enough time and interactions between the events.

One neat thing about S1 is that the amount of time between each consecutive episode was shortened as a way of gradually ramping up the pacing and tension. It's part of what made the ending of episode 4 and and beginning of episode 5 so goddamn tense.

Ep.1 - Ep.2 = three months

Ep.2 - Ep.3 = couple weeks

Ep.3 - Ep.4 = less than 24 hours

Ep.4 - Ep.5 = immediately

Compare that to S2 where almost every episode ends on a sudden cliffhanger and begins in media res. The pacing was janky as hell and got especially awkward at the beginning of episode 4.
