Yo /weed/,
Currently on a holiday vacation to visit my significant other who is in turn away from home visiting and taking care of some sick family in another country, this holiday is also happening to be a nice little T break.
When the vacation ends I'm gonna be heading back to Canada solo and won't get her back for a few more months. I'm gonna be bummed as fuck, probably cry like a bitch for a little while and slip into a bit of depression. (We were a long distance couple for years before getting happily together, so being long distance again is salt in wounds that had pretty much healed.)
Thankfully when I get home I'll have my good bud to help get me through the tough times, something to keep me perked up through the initial onslaught of shitty emotions till I'm feeling a bit better. The same thing that kept me together when she initially had to go take care of her grandparents in the first place.
We discovered weed together, got to love it together and she was adamant on me having a nice fat bowl the moment I got home to make me feel better. Have you ever been in the same position and used weed as a method of perking you up in the worst of times? Something to put a smile on your face when you just feel like shit?

Usually it doesn't help out. Do it for fun man, don't do it because you're depressed. There are other drugs that are meant for that. Weed is kind of like alcohol in that it doesn't really help you so much as give you a nice trip away. That's my case. I'm going through some kind of tough shit and weed hasn't helped. I like it, but I would never say it actively helps me.

It's a crutch more than anything. Though statistically speaking, alcohol has gotten me into a lot more trouble than weed ever has.
