I often just roll a joint, take a couple of hits, stub it out, and revisit it later. It's wasteful, but I'm okay with that. Worst case scenario, I can add tobacco buffers so I only stub out tobacco.

It's probably just as bad as any other way. I've never tried it before. And with any other bowl, it's usually best to grind up the material and put it in. Though you can get away with just breaking off a piece of the nug if you want.

pro tip: after you pack a hitter, lick the tip of your finger and press of the weed you just packed up. it wets the herb a little and makes it burn slower and a little cooler so you don't roach your throat.

Yes you can, here it's called gypsy pipe. You just roll it, n fold it untill it looks like a pipe and has some stability to it. ALSO - even worst - you can make a pipe out of that tin foily - papery stuff from the cigarett box.
