Go for it man. Truth is they get you just as high and are much more convenient. Plus the smoke is cooler than on a pipe or on a blunt. It takes practice rolling a good one. Your first one will probably be pretty shit if you don't roll it tight enough, but give it time and you'll get better.

Papers differ with the person for the most part. Yeah you can be a generic stoner and buy a dutch or swisher for blunts or whatever but the best thing to do is buy several types of wraps and figure out what you prefer. Luckily joint papers are cheap as hell so this shouldn't be a chore to do.

But to answer your question I have found Zig Zag 1.5's to be my go-to for j papers. However they are kind of thin so if you're just starting out maybe some generic JoB papers would suit you well.

The good thing about the blues are that you can double wrap them without it affecting the taste. I can't say that's the case with any of the heavier papers.

Receipts work in a pinch as in you just got off of working at McDonalds and you want to smoke a joint right after, but there's not a good way to seal them and the chemicals in the paper can affect the taste as well.

I mean technically anything would work as long as it can be rolled and burned but the taste and medical concerns would be pretty bad.

But to answer your q yes receipts can be rolled.
