 No.2389

Hello friends, I just started smoking weed and I did some of that liquid gold chocolate bar. Sometimes when I smoke I freak out like I can't sit still and I feel like I am vomiting and I am going to wake up in a hospital, its hard to explain I guess but I freak out a lot when I smoke and or eat weed how do I control this?

Anxiety is a common side effect of Marijuana. In most cases this can be fixed by smoking a smaller amount in one session or if possible perhaps looking into a strain that has a lower THC content.
It's important that you realize that almost everyone will experience anxiety from smoking and over time you will become more comfortable with your high and generally that feeling of paranoia will go away. I've found that I prefer high CBD strains over THC because of my anxiety but that's a personal preference.

As far as you not being able to sit still you probably have a high Sativa strain. Depending on what you like you should consider switching to an Indica dominant strain or in case you get uncomfortable with couch-lock then look for a decent hybrid strain.

I'm going to assume this happens when you consume edibles, I've had several customers bring this up whenever we have a strong batch come through.

Nausea can come from several different things. Some people feel sick if they eat edibles on an empty stomach and I have also heard that edibles with high sugar content or rich chocolate will do that as well.
I'd say first try the easy fixes such as eat a meal before ingesting your "treat" or perhaps shop around and try other edibles (gummies work well) to see if maybe it's only certain items that make you feel sick. If none of these work for you then an absolute go-to for Weed induced nausea would be Dramamine. You could also look into ginger ale but some people don't care for those drinks so it's not a first choice for me.

I hope this helps and by all means keep us posted OP. These things take time but I assure you the more information we have to work with can allow us to fix your problem once and for all.

>Side note: Dramamine can be purchased at any pharmacy without prescription (Wallgreens, CVS, Walmart).
