hey weed, i've been mulling over building a small thing for me and a friend to hotbox in without easily getting caught. at first i thought of a little shack or soemthing, but then i realized that would be too easy to spot and trash.

but then i got another idea when watching grave of the fireflies, what if the place was underground? just a small room kinda like pic related (probably a bit more crude) to go in and smoke

it would probably collapse and you would kill yourself. A shack in the middle of nowhere doesn't sound like a bad idea though

that depends on how big you want it and how you reinforce it.

i figured a bunch of pressure treated 2x4's and maybe 6 inches of dirt on top that should be fine enough for at most a 6x6 room

Possible issues worth pointing out:
>Airflow
Depending on how big it is, and how deep, getting air through it can get difficult, and you can risk suffocation, especially if you're smoking.
>Humidity
Being underground, it's probably gonna be a pretty musty area, which brings the next problem
>Comfort
Whilst you can sort of solve this with cushions and shit, they'll most likely get ruined if left overnight, and transporting them back and forth every time gets to be a hassle. Also, lighting can be an issue, unless you're happy enough with a camp lantern thing.
>Accessibility
If you plan on keeping it secret, how do you plan on getting in and out? Say one of you has a bad trip, and gets claustrophobic or has to vomit, how do you make it easy enough to get out quickly but still keep it nice and hidden?
>Cost
Even ignoring everything else, it has to be said that digging out a big hole and making a room that's secure and accessible from outside won't be free. Make sure to plan thoroughly.

All this being said, I love the concept, and I wish you the best of luck. I'd love to have a shot at doing something like this, sounds proper fun.

i get plenty of wood for free from work, so the support won't be a problem

i intend to have a couple plastic lawn chairs or soemthing, and the floor will be pallets so if you need to you're not laying in dirt. lighting would be from a small electric lantern, it's not going to be a big room so you don't need much light. and it would be relatively easy to get in/out as well. drainage could be solved by having it on high ground, and ventilation will be as simple as a big piece of pipe in the top

backyard sauna sounds like a better idea, especially if you live up north. Have a hotbox room and then go directly in to the sauna afterwards. nice experiences.

Sounds pretty neat, then. I hadn't thought about outside furniture, that's a good idea. You can get some real comfy real durable chairs and tables these days, super compact ones too. Shit you could leave there permanently.
If you go ahead with it, do report back, I for one would be interested to know how it goes.
