it's mostly the tradition here. I like to do it since I can have a fat joint with a great taste and that gets me high as fuck. I'm not really sure what they call them in Europe, but they call them Spliffs here after the Jamaican word "Spliff." I could really use a spliff with some tobacco and that OG kush my OG plug gets me.
The real difference between Americans and Europeans on tobacco and weed is that most Americans that I hang out with would rather roll a blunt than roll a paper with loose tobacco. Hand-rolled cigarettes are much more common in Europe than they are here, so I think that has something to do with it as well. Hardly anybody in France under 21 smoked just a regular cigarette. I'd rather have a spliff than just a plain rollie with just tobacco personally.

I used to smoke mixed, but then I ran out of tobacco and couldn't be arsed to go buy any more, so started rolling virgin joints.
Only real difference I notice is that they burn a hell of a lot quicker. It's much more relaxing to smoke a mixed joint.

Americlap here, I'm the only person I personally know who rolls Js with tobacco in them. My understanding is that the tobacco makes it a "spliff," but I've had people say they "rolled a spliff" and it's just a regular joint, I never pressed the issue. I always roll spliffs if I'm going to smoke it alone, seems to burn much better and goes down way smoother. A spliff is my #1 choice to smoke, over glass or a vape any day. Might be because when I first started smoking at 15 or so, I would buy .5 grams at a time, and I made it last by emptying out a cigarette, mixing some pot in and repacking it.
Question for Europeans or anyone who normally put tobacco in their joints, do you also put tobacco in a bong or pipe? I've always wondered that, seems like it would be pretty weird imho.

1.Weed is much higher in potency in Europe if you compare street weed. In Ireland and the UK the street weed is much stronger than US street weed but you get more in the bags in the US.
2.I use a titan vaporizer for my amnesia. Tastes like earthy lime :^)
