Hey, i'm getting like 5 plants tomorrow, all of them seedlings. It's the first time i'm growing anything at all, and i will have no money to spend on this until next month. What can i improv for these little fuckers in the mean while, and are there any cheap, space saving rigs i could try next month?

Thanks chicos.

okay you'll have to spend SOME money but here's my solution;

find your local garden shop and buy some cheap, premix soil. don't get anything with nutrient bases pre mixed or it will kill your plants. just some good old fashion soil. you don't need a lot.

the reason you shouldn't use soil from just outside is insects and parasites. which will kill them.

next is some solo cups, fill the solo cups with your fresh soil.

get a spritzing bottle, like the kind for spraying your cat when he's being a dick.

you'll also need a large plastic bin, preferably one that is clear with a top on it.

okay now what you do is keep your clones in the little cups in the bin. spritz it a couple times a day. set it out in the sun when you have time to but make sure you bring it in at night. DONT completely seal the bin. it will suffocate your plants.

the best method would be punching some holes at the top and bottom like pic related to get some airflow going.

if everything goes as planned, and they stay moist and humid and warm they should last you for about a month.

DONT over water them. if water collects in the bottom of the bin make sure you dump it out as IT WILL MOLD.

$10 potting mix

$4 solo cups

$10-15 plastic bin

$5 spray bottle

use some cheap nails and a torch lighter to get nice even holes in your bin. if you don't put holes in your bin, your plants will most likely wilt

Thanks man. Thing is their sex is undetermined, so imma let them grow a little bit and then flower them. As i said i literally have no money so imma be doing something different:

Two boxes, one for each plant.

Will put computer fans at the top for air out (saw this in a video, it creates negative pressure so stale air goes out and fresh air comes in) all powered by a pc power source

I will use the soil that came with them or i will find a way to clean outdoors soil

Bottled water

One 14 watts cfl lamp per plant, warm light

And that's about it. Wish me luck you guys, here are the fuckers in question.

the important thing is to separate them. roots can become dense and they will strangle each other if you're not too careful.

as long as you have airflow solved you should be just fine, just don't overwater

Finally, i'm done. Still, gonna make it bigger, get some nice air flow going on, spread the tinfoil evenly, get more lights, etc.

Lil update, complete claustrofuck as of now, product of following a 1 hour synthetized video instead of doing some actual deep investigation. 2 ded, 1 on the brim of death. Will add more ligthbulbs, using liquid fertilizer and substract. Man am i basic as fuck.

Sorry to use this thread, but I've got a couple of questions.

I've got like 8 plants in my garden, nice and sunny, relatively safe from bugs and shit. I'm in a warm, humid climate (25c-35c daytime, mid 20s night).

How much should I water them? Soil's pretty dry. At the moment I'm giving them a decent water when the sun goes down, cool them down and soak the soil through.

This is them as of today. Tomorrow will update the rig, add more lights, etc. I hope this comes out well.

You could literally plant them outside since it is completely legal and there are no surveillance helicopters there like in my country. Of course you always have to look out for marauders but that's a different story. If you grow them outside it's like growing any other plant as far as I know.

Oh, man, it's even better. weed is so fucking EASY to grow outdoors. It IS a weed after all.

Marauders are a problem, so are cats, rain and we've just hit winter. Also, seeing how there are no tall buildings around my area and i live near the sea, the wind is fucking strong. Also i kinda like having the fuckers next to me. Anyways we've reached first of july, therefore i'm getting paid, therefore i can afford better stuff, therefore there will be fore.

Isn't it a lot harder to have control of the grow when it's outside? If he plants them outside now they'll be in the vegetative state for another month at least, whereas inside you could switch to the 18-6 cycle whenever you think they're ready. It's supposed to be harder to make sure your plants are getting the right amount of nutrients/not too much salt. That and the off chance they could become contaminated by bugs, chemicals, potentially pollen from some grower who doesn't know what he's doing, etc.
