Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to "What Was The Point Again?", where we come back to the core of the thread and try to identify meaningless derails!
The original issue, as stated by OP, was a perceived ambiguity in the naming of the board that OP felt has caused an environment in which people of different attractions attack each other, instead of being friendly toward each other.
A counter argument was made, saying that, in fact, this is not an issue, and there actually is not such an environment, except in the case of people who like toddlers. And then it was claimed that even that is done mainly by just one person. Personally, I have to say that I believe there is a gigantic amount of hate being spewed left and right, but that's beside the point here.
Now here comes the quiz question: What's the important issue?
A. The vitriol between groups on this board.
B. The number of people here who likes toddlers.
As for solving the issue, I'm not sure if creating separate boards is going to work, I feel that vitriol is simply a part of the internet sometimes, and if you really can't take it, you should maybe say fuck it and leave. I don't mean that as a fuck off. I mean seriously, this is a shithole sometimes, and if you're not Not Giving A Fuck, it can be damaging to you. So try not giving a fuck, or try leaving it behind.
